Authentic Thai cuisine at AFFORDABLE prices, fast & friendly service 4/24/2007

So I got here late (9:45 pm). My waiter was friendly and nice and answered all my questions. The sushi rolls were fresh and there was a wide variety to chose from. The drunken noodles were seasoned and spiced well (I asked for mine a ""little spicy""). The wine was slightly pricy (as far as Asian restaurants go) but the portion was good, so I didn't mind. The only negative was that at 10:15 pm, they asked if I could pay my bill. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the hostess told me they closed at 10:30 pm. I really didn't mind as I was already eating (and drinking wine). To be fair, I was the last diner inside at that point. Normally, I don't like being rushed in my dining but I was famished and the food in front of me. Ehh, if that's the worst I can comment on... who cares? Try the tempura sushi/ go elsewhere for better thai food 1/15/2007

Recommended by our hotel- found the service to be excellent but the thai food was not great... but we also ordered sushi & it was the best tempura sushi as the whole roll is not deep fried merely sprinkled with tempura pieces which made for a great roll. Great food, speedy service 1/7/2007

I walk by Montien all the time, and yesterday I finally checked it out. I asked for the Thai menu in addition to the regular menu. The prices were very reasonable and the food excellent. Servers were running around all over the place, so attention is limited but efficient. Our food came very quickly and tasted great! simply the best... 1/28/2006

my friends and i went here with a party of 10 and we got treated like kings.. We had sushi-saki-thai food and beer and wine flowing.. There sushi bar hands down beats any sushi i have had in the area and reasonbly priced.. And the thai food portions are HUGE- not a let down like some thai places...! FANTASTIC 4/19/2004

This is hands down the best Asian food in the city. Truly fantastic, flavorful--we loved it. Do not miss this place. Make sure you ask for copies of BOTH menus (they have menus they give to Thai guests and another they give to others)...so authentic and so delicious. I haven't had food this good in a long time. REAL authentic Thai food 1/8/2003

After spending time in Thailand, and being to many Thai restaurants in the US and elsewhere, I can say that Montien has the most authentic, delicious Thai food anywhere outside of Thailand. When you go, ask for the ""Thai menu"" - it's in English, but has dishes straight from menus in Bangkok that you won't find anywhere else - crispy catfish salad, red-flaming morning glory, raw shrimp and chilies. This is REAL Thai food, not the dumbed-down version most restaurants in the US serve. Go with friends, be adventurous, eat with a spoon - it's what the Thais do! I am not easily impressed by Thai restaurants but this is one I will definitely be going back to. Pros: Authentic, Great service more

I love Montien... I go there every chance I can get! It's upscale, delicious Thai cuisine without the high prices. This is a great place to go with groups. They also have really fun drinks! Check it out!!!! more

Great Thai 7/7/2002

I ordered a chicken curry dish. It was very good. They even had my favorite thai dessert mango on sticky rice. (For some reason many thai restaurants don't offer this classic dessert.) The prices were a little higher than most thai restaurants, but worth the extra cost if have to catch your theatre show on time. more
