Wonderful School 8/21/2011

We were very happy with this school when we lived in Covington. Our daughter attended for 3 years (1 year Early Childhood and 2 years Lower Elementary). We had to relocate for my husband's work and our child had no trouble fitting in or keeping up when she started at her new school. Montessori is not for every child so be sure to visit the school and see if it is a good choice for your family. It was for ours. \r more

GREAT SCHOOL!!! 8/19/2011

I, personally, think that this is an excellent school and do not agree with the previous comment. That being said, any review should be taken with a grain of salt and one anonymous person's negative experience should not be the basis for not taking the time to check into the school. Visiting the school, observing in the classrooms, and talking to current parents is the best way to get an accurate view of the school. From my experience, this is a great school! Students learn materials and information that FAR exceeds what is being taught at other schools, both public and private, at the same age levels. Parent involvement is highly encouraged and, I've found, that teachers are willing to spend extra time to discuss student progress and ways to help students excel. From spending time in the classrooms as a parent volunteer and observing the students, it is clear to me that there are a multitude of advantages offered by this school that are not offered by others. Each person's experience, just like each child, should be treated individually. I encourage you to visit this school and see for yourself instead of relying on other's opinions alone. more

No longer a great school 7/26/2011

This school has serious problems. Our daughter attended the level one (1st grade) class in 2010-2011 and now has to repeat the 1st grade at another school. We tried several times to remedy the issues we encountered throughout the year. Unfortunately, the teacher is very inexperienced and the director is unable to lead the staff effectively. Additionally, they withheld our daughter's work from us and reported progress in a very ambiguous manner. We later discovered she has regressed in many academic areas from her previous Montessori kindergarten year. As a former Montessori teacher, I find the classroom is chaotic and materials are poorly maintained. As a result, many students have dropped out to attend other private schools. more
