Montessori School Of Wausau

Finally, a preschool program that we love as much as our kids do. Finding just the right blend of cost, care, education and communication has been a challenge for us, and with our second child we finally found the PERFECT environment at Montessori School of Wausau. Our daughter loves the over-sized and up-to-date playground, and the large light-filled classrooms are a perfect fit for their hybrid Montessori program. That's another thing we love, the program has been around a while, some of the parents even used to be students here! The folks running the program have seen it all, and have adapted their program over the years to stay current and focused on what's best for kids. They use the best parts of Montessori, but they make it better with years of knowing what works in practice, not just theory. I could go on about how well our daughter is progressing, how her language and math are being used every day at school and now at home too...how she picks up after herself at school and has us doing it at home too...but that's missing the best part. The best part of Montessori School of Wausau is the people, and the love that they bring to every kid and every day. It shows in our daughter, she loves to go to school every day, and what could be better than that? more

I sent both my children to MS of W incl. my daughter, currently a UW soph. and now my 5 y/o pre-school aged son. This school is great with small class sizes, well trained staff, and is v. organized which creates a pleasant but structured atmosphere for kids to learn. My kids love(d) it and it fostered their interest in learning, being respectful, and it provides a solid foundation for their entry to public school should you opt later on. more

This school was one of the reasons we moved to Wausau. We will miss the teachers and staff. more

I went to pick up my friends daughter at Montessori School of Wausau one afternoon and was extremely impressed with what I walked into. You walk in the door and the walls are all colorfully painted. The classrooms have shelves upon shelves of carefully placed activities for the children. For a preschool I felt it was very clean and orderly and the staff was very attentive to the students. I would most definitely send my child to this school. more

This school is great! The teachers are all great with the children. Each week has a great theme that the kids love. They have a really nice playground and spend a lot of time allowing the children time to use it. The building is set up neatly with many different areas for play. There is a Montessori classroom and also a traditional preschool/structured day care classroom. This is a great place! more
