Terriffic Cuts, Great Barber, Good Jokes 7/21/2006

I have been going to Monterey Barbershop for 20 years. Since Joe T. Barber took over a while back I find the haircuts to be the best I've ever had. My son and a few of his friends have their cuts there. Others have commented on my haircut and I've directed them to Joe @ Monterey Barbershop. Besides great haircuts and shaves Joe has a wonderful sense of humor and excellent conversational skills. We look forward to our haircuts. The price is very reasonable for a very good haircut. It is a good deal to us. The shop is a step back to the 50's retaining its original ambiance. The hardware store the tavern and the barber shop are traditional places where politics, sports, jokes and banter can take place unabated and uncensored. more

Friendly people, good cuts, good price... 10/17/2005

The Monterey Barber shop is where my husband likes to get his hair cut. Just down the street from home, so the location is great! Anyway, the people are friendly and they listen to how you want your hair cut. And the price is not bad, either. Especially in this day where cuts can be more than $50. Nothing fancy, but they get the job done, and very well. more
