Big thanks to Dr. Hooks and his staff for his care of our"special needs" kitty, Rocky. The respect and love for any life is to be commended from these people. I would no go anyplace else! more

I love this vet. Dr. Hooks has such a great bedside manner. I am a pet sitter and I've tried almost every vet on the Treasure Coast. None compare to Dr. Hooks. It's about a half hour drive for me, but I won't go to anyone else. He's the best. more

Since relocating to the Stuart area seven years ago, I have taken my eight pets to Monterey Animal Clinic. Dr. Hooks is clearly the Marcus Welby of animals! His compassion, patience, kindness, and conservative nature makes us love him more each time we visit the clinic. He has stood by us with a dog who needed to cross the Rainbow Bridge. He has been there to help us adjust through two puppies, too! His staff is friendly, Jake is the best!!, and Dr. Stinman has earned our confidence in the absence of Dr. Hooks.\r I can't imagine ever using a different clinic. I have used Monterey animal clinic for 5 years. Dr Hooks is the best ever! His compassion and care go way beyond expectations.One evening he was leaving the office for the day when I came through the door with my very sick dog. Dr Hooks saw my dog was in distress, came back in and spent hours working on my dog. We eventually had to put our littl friend down but Dr Hooks was there helping us through a very difficult time. We thank him and his whole staff (including Jake) and we will always go to Monterey animal clinic. more

I received a certificate from the City of PSL and voucher from SPCA of Jensen Beach to have my dog Buster neutered. All the vets I called on the list wanted me to pay 50 to 120 for an exam before the surgery. Monterey was the last one I called due to the distance from my home. They told me bring Buster on Friday and there would be no charge to do the neutering but there were options I could choose but weren't mandatory. True to their word, Buster was neutered for free and and I opted for the pain shot and pills after surgery and the cone to keep him from licking the site. Total cost $42. They did a great job of caring for my dog and I will now drive the distance to take my dog there, where my dog's care is more important than money. Thanks Monterey Animal Clinic. more

The Doctors at this practice (Dr. Stinman/Dr. Hooks) are the best in the state. I am a fanatic about my dogs care and have complete faith in this facility. Whether it's routine check-ups or any surgical procedure necessary, I believe that they are the best. Even the staff is awesome. more

The doctors and staff at Monterey Animal Clinic are very professional, knowledgeable and compassionate. I was feeling hopeless prior to coming here because none of the doctors at previous clinics could diagnose my dog. They diagnosed Tuff's condition instantly and started treatment and he is an entirely new dog. I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone. more
