because the owner is from my home town, i tried to give him business. i bought a chain saw, a $600 lawnmower, and spent over 1400 on having my motorcycle repaired. his words to me were, ""when we are done working on your bike, you will have many years of riding ahead of you with no problems"". i paid my bill when i picked it up, and went a total of 172 miles on the bike over an entire summer. it broke down on the road 5 times, it leaked gas on the engine, it wont start, they broke the choke and then said it came in that way, they punched a hole in my gas tank while trying to mount it on the bike (they had it welded but the weld did not hold, thus gas leaking on my engine), the final straw, the owner texted me ""we did right by you"" . he actually told me he would not stand behind his work because i sealed the tank myself. it was his employee who told me i could seal it myself and save money. i am not an idiot. my sealing job was not the problem, it might have been the hammering they did on the tank to try to get it back on the bike! i would sue them, but i dont have the time or the energy. i am out about 1400 bucks, they have lost a customer for life. my advice, take your bike to a bike mechanic or the dealer. it might cost more, but you will certainly be able to enjoy your bike for years to come. never again!
