This place is horrible. Food is horrible and place is unsanitary. Don't waste your time and just go somewhere else. Cons: plenty

I have been going to Monsoon for about 5 years now and I still can't get enough! i love the atmosphere and service but most of all the food is impeccable! My favorite dish for years was Chicken curry with beef rolls for the carry out, but once I listened to the knowledgeable suggestions from the servers I expanded my horizons... I now love/always order the Shaking tofu which is stir fried tofu with white onions, sweet potato straws and I add Chinese broccoli to it also, Thai spicy beef salad, the Vietnamese style pork chop with fried egg, meat cake and shredded pork served with lime sauce, and the calamari appetizer. What I love about this place is that you can modify anything you order to fit your liking with no problems. now since I dine in more than take out, I love to order the vietnamse iced coffee and casava cake for desert! Best food in town at great prices, fresh tastes, friendly service and a clean environment, also i will mention too that you can now enjoy an alcoholic beverage with your meal! Cheers! more

Too many great things to list. First, very clean and Im super picky on that. Excellent tasty food. Owner so nice and if you come a couple of times, he will remember you name. Yum just so good. Great variety and fresh and colorful, which means healthy. Nothing bad to say. One of my favorite restaurants in the whole St. Louis area. more

A beautiful, peaceful environment with gentle, friendly service and out-of-this-world flavors. Great tender beef dish and lovely curries. Our favorite appetizer is calamari on a bed of crispy spinach. And we ALWAYS order the banana dessert in crispy wrapper with ice cream and strawberries drizzled with warm chocolate. Yum, Yum, Yum! Reasonable prices too! Pros: Best beef filet for the price. Great Curries Unique Desserts Cons: None that we have experienced. more

We LOVE Monsoon Bistro! 11/9/2008

We LOVE this restaurant. Their food is so fresh and the recipes are just wonderful. Plus, the prices are very reasonable. We try to eat here at least once a week. Our favorites are the scallop curry and the prawn curry, the Shaking Beef, the Monsoon spring roll, the Imperial soup, the steak salad and the papaya salad with grilled shrimp. Actually everything we have tried has been just great. My son, who now lives in Hong Kong, also loves this restaurant and says it is as good as those in Hong Kong. He makes sure to eat here everytime he visits. The atmosphere is serene, the staff is very accomodating. It's a great place for lunch or dinner or for entertaining. Pros: Wonderful fresh entrees and appetizers at very reasonable prices! A gem of a restaurant! Cons: None so far! more

Monsoon has great food, the service is wonderful and they have the best spring rolls in town. We drive in from South City to eat there almost every week. Try the curry and spring rolls, it is our favorite. Pros: fast, clean, great food Cons: closed Sundays and Mondays more

Coconut Curry Prawns are DE-Lish! 8/23/2008

This is my favorite place to eat in west county! The sevice is excellent and the place is always clean and I rarely have to wait to be seated. I highly recommend the Coconut Curry Prawns.... It will make you want to lick the plate! Also try the iced coffee, it is a real treat. Everytime I have brought someone to this resturant they were hooked as well. Monsoon Vietnamese Bistro is the best restaurant in west county! I have been going since it opened and have always had excellent food. I have told several people about it and now they are all hooked on the great food. Pros: Great food more

GREAT RESTAURANT --ESPECIALLY FOR IN WEST COUNTY 5/12/2008

This is my new favorite restaurant! My wife and I went Saturday night and the food was great. We ordered the char grilled shrimp spring rolls(fantastic), the papaya salad(very good), and I had the spicy chicken with rice(great but I wish it had some veggies in it), and my wife had the vermicelli with shrimp. The only disappointment was they sold out of fried bananas for desert. The service was also good. Pros: FOOD more

Very Satisfied 4/6/2007

The setting is unique and the food is amazing! I have had vietnamese food and I end up feeling bad after the meal because it was too heavy. Every entree that I have tried has been wonderful! It's light and you can taste the food, not how it was cooked. And I am very pleased that the owner comes by to each table to ask ""how is everything?"". That's good service! Pros: amazing food more

Excellent Vietnamese Cuisine 11/27/2006

My wife and I agree that our dining experience at Monsoon Bistro was amazing. The menu variety is quite extensive and the sauces are truly impeccable. The ""Shaking Beef"", ""Monsoon Filet"", ""Mama Q Dumplings"" and ""Lemon Grass Trout"" are so amazing. We have both recommended this venue to our friends and family on several occasions and have never received any negative feedback. Someone would have to have a poor food pallet or no taste buds functioning not to recognize great food. Pros: Excellent food variety. more

Excellent service; great food 9/30/2006

We were seated promptly in a secluded corner of the restaurant, rather near a family with boisterous children. Didn't bother us, but we were asked repeatedly if we would like to move to a quieter table after one had opened up. We were served by three very attentive waitstaff, who were very helpful in describing the menu alternatives. We had the vegetarian and shrimp salad rolls, followed by spicy lemongrass tofu and special spicy lemongrass tofu. Excellent flavors and textures. Would definitely visit this restaurant again.
