Best area vet for pocket pets 5/13/2013

Dr. Gueniat and the rest of the staff at this clinic were very helpful when I took in my guinea pig Rufus for a check up. The nurse was gentle with my pet and made sure he was comfortable and not scared for when the doctor came in to check on him. Doc was very informative on what I need to keep my guinea pig healthy. I'm very glad to know I have a reliable vet on hand for Rufus. more

Good veterinary care -- good value 5/3/2013

I've taken my pug here for close to 6 years. He's very high maintenance and has had many odd health problems over the years. Dr. Gueniat and the staff have always been very thorough and helpful with him. I always feel like he is getting the best treatment possible. As for the people who say it is too expensive, they will work with you and offer a program called Care Credit. If you want good, thorough treatment, you are going to have to pay for it. My dog is worth it. They also price match for medicines and offer rebates through the manufacturers. The boarding staff is very caring and great and I can even pick my dog up on Saturday and Sundays, unlike many other boarding facilities. Overall, I've always been extremely happy with the treatment my dog gets from everyone at the Monrovia Animal Medical Center. more

I've taken my pug here for close to 6 years. He's very high maintenance and has had many odd health problems over the years. Dr. Gueniat and the staff have always been very thorough and helpful with him. I always feel like he is getting the best treatment possible. My neighbor just loves Dr. Gueniat! 4/16/2013

My neighbor just raved about Dr. Gueniat at Monrovia Animal Medical Center so I took my new Boxer puppy Skids two weeks ago to be neutered and vaccinated. I had needed to find a veterinarian in the Pasadena area since I just moved in from Portland a few months ago. My 3 year-old Lab Tricky was due for a heartworm test and meds so we all went together last Saturday morning. I am very pleased with the service and friendly atmosphere, and both Skids and Tricky really like Dr. Gueniat and her staff. I like that she is open on Saturday mornings so I normally will not have to take off work and the prices are very affordable. This is a great vet for me and my doggies. more

Beauty had a bad ear infection. 3/24/2013

My little Dachshund had been shaking her head for several days and then two days ago cried out when I rubbed her ears. It felt like her head was hot when I petted her and my normally happy little girl looked sad in her eyes. I took her to Dr. Gueniat who examined and then cleaned and medicated her ears. She said Beauty had a bad infection especially in her right ear. Beauty is fine now and I’m finishing up the drop’s Dr. Gueniat gave me to put in her ears. Many thanks to everyone at Monrovia Animal Medical Center. more

Tiger Needed Dental Cleaning Badly 3/15/2013

Excellent Veterinarian!\r My cat Tiger needed a dental cleaning badly. His breath was terrible! He is 12 years old and can be very cranky. Dr. Gueniat and her staff handled him gently and treated him competently and compassionately. Now that Tiger's teeth are clean and his gums are looking healthier, I'm ashamed that I put it off so long. I'm so glad I found Monrovia Animal Medical Center and would not hesitate to take Tiger in again for any kind a problem that may come up in the future. more

My Favorite Vet! 3/12/2013

Dr. Gueniat is my favorite vet so I took my new kitten Scratch to be spayed and to get her checked out and vaccinated. I try to take the best care possible of my little feline family so I also took my other 2 cats for their annual wellness exams. Pedro is my 12 year-old and he has been acting cranky and listless all the time. Dr. Gueniat said he was getting arthritis and put him on some medicine which has made him more playful and less irritable. I have always been very happy with the professional service and friendly atmosphere at Monrovia Animal Medical Center. Best Vet in Monrovia for Pocket Pets! 3/2/2013

Dr. Gueniat is the only vet in the Monrovia area that cares for pocket pets so I always take my hamsters to her for their veterinary care. I adopted my third baby named Fluff recently. She was not energetic like Scrub and Toto so I took her into Monrovia Animal Medical Center for examination. It turns out she was badly infected with worms. Dr. Gueniat gave me medicine to get rid of her parasites and checked out my other two because they had been exposed by being in the same cage with Fluff. Dr. Gueniat patiently explained that I should get rid of everything disposable to prevent reinfection and how to properly cleanse their cage, and how to administer the worm medicine to finish the treatment. All three of my precious fur balls are now healthy and happy. I would recommend Dr. Gueniat to anyone who loves pocket pets. more

I have a Doberman who has had chronic ear problems for years. I?ve taken her to several different veterinarians, but none of them have been able to give her anything to stop the itching and irritation in her ears. I took her to see Dr. Gueniat at Monrovia Animal Medical Center. She cleaned my dog?s ears with a special ear flushing rinse and prescribed some drops to put in her ears. After only a few weeks, my dog?s ears have completely healed and she doesn?t scratch and cry anymore. I am so grateful to have found Dr. Gueniat! Everyone at the hospital was so nice and understanding, and very helpful in explaining how to put the drops in her ears. I would definitely recommend this veterinarian to anyone who is not happy with their current animal hospital. more

My dog Lancelot 1/5/2013

I took my German Shepherd, Lancelot, to Monrovia Animal Medical Center for a lump on his chest. Dr. Gueniat was very kind and took extra care to make sure my dog did not experience any pain during the biopsy. Dr. Gueniat removed the lump and I was able to take my dog home the same day! The technicians and reception staff were very helpful too. The price for the entire procedure was very reasonable. I would highly recommend Monrovia Animal Medical Center to anyone who needs a good veterinarian. more

Dr. Gueniat?s performed a pre-adoption exam on a rescue dog we were considering adopting, and we found her to be extremely thorough, and helpful, in her evaluation of the Wheaten Terrier she saw. In addition to examining the dog?s overall health, she also took the time to evaluate the dog?s disposition and temperament ? finding her, by the way, to be a fine candidate for adoption. Dr. Gueniat?s discussions with us about the dog, and our family?s home environment indicated that she was thoroughly conversant on dog behavior, in addition to being knowledgeable about recent research on the inherited diseases to which terriers are susceptible. I found Dr. Gueniat to be professional and warm with my dog, and came away from the exam feeling comfortable about my decision to adopt the dog. I also found her staff helpful, and the clinic to be clean, modern, and user-friendly for both pet and client. I would definitely recommend her services and hospital to pet parents seeking a more
