good for the offbeat gift 5/16/2006

Monroe Saltworks offers more than just pottery, and it's the offbeat and sometimes just plain strange items that draw customers to this unique retailer. Unusual jewelry, reconstructed bags, old-fashioned toys, and unique soaps are just the beginning of their wares, and new items spring up in their inventory all the time. Prices are reasonable, and this is the perfect place to find a gift for that person who you think has everything. more

Old Fashioned and Funky/Hip 3/19/2006

Monroe Saltworks is a delightful mix of their namesake pottery, old timey toys for children and adults, fancy soaps and kitchen wares, funky jewelry and bags, and just an odd eclectic mix of all sorts of things. They're open late Friday and Saturday so you can go in after your movie at the Capital gets out. A fun place to poke around and find little gifts. more

Quirky pottery and gifts 8/18/2005

I love Monroe Saltworks for that special gift for someone that is difficult to buy for. Sounds like a cliché but it is true. Each time I go into Monroe Saltworks I find something new and interesting. My favorite products are the unique pieces of jewelry and stationery products. The pottery is great but not really my style. They have a wide variety of gifts at a variety of price points. more
