I will start off by saying that I was a student at MCMA, and got my black belt there in 2001. I do not know the other dojos in town, but can tell you that the instructors at MCMA are incredibly talented not only as martial artists, but as teachers. There is a welcoming community, an environment of learning and respect, and an expectation to always challenging yourself. MCMA not only made me a good martial artist, but a balanced person as well. It is great for people of all ages, families, and even IU students (that is what I was doing when I joined). There are so many classes, and so many kinds of arts you can study, there is something for everyone, and many people choose to cross-train. I highly recommend it.
Pros: Number of Classes, Variety of Arts, Instructors
Cons: Occasionally crowded
