About a year ago, I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Speedy.
My Lexus brake indicator light came on, so being close to my house (and having a coupon), I brought it to Speedy for an inspection. After 4 hours of inspection, they came back with an estimate of close to $1000 (after the coupon) for complete replacement of several key parts.
Upon hearing that number and the implied severity of the problem, I drove literally 2 doors down to Midas. There, they estimated $600 parts and labor with no major problems/replacements found- just normal brake wear and tear.
End of story, the car ran fine for the next 6 months (we sold it for a very good price), and I will NEVER visit Speedy again.
