My company used Monman earlier this year for a raised access floor that we needed installed for an office revitalization project.
I had been appointed the "IT" person, lucky me! So, when it was time for the owners to upgrade the office, new paint, furniture, new computers and phones, they asked for my input on how to wire it all together. The challenge was they do not allow us to use wifi in the office... everything is a wired connection: phone, video, email/computer. So with the addition of 20+ new workplaces plus the existing 100 employees, that was a big task. Not to mention we would be going from traditional cubicles to fancy-shmancy desks/offices that looked great but had poor power wiring options.
So I called around a few places and was feeling pretty bad that I had to tell our owners we would have to put in a "raised floor" that would eat up at least 8" of height, most likely a foot of height. And the cost was sounding prohibitive. I made the case to switch to wifi and eliminate much of the networking wires, but due to security concerns, we stuck with wired connections.
I found Monman on another site and was a little concerned they were in Charlotte, but Ryan (the guy I spoke with) informed me they regularly work throughout the Southeast and have done jobs across the country. He suggested we look at a low height access floor which takes up less that 2" of height. The price was less than other quotes, and the time to finish 10,000+ square feet was under 2 weeks and was done in stages, letting the office stay open.
They did a good quality job, and we selected a few different floor finishes which go on top (carpet, tile and some marble in the entrance way and bathroom). It's hard to explain, but all of the wires run inside of the access floor so you never see any of them. They made my life and my job easier, and they were professional but very down to earth to work with.
