Fabulous! 2/28/2011

This is a fantastic restaurant! My parents were in town recently to visit and we came here for dinner. Right away our service was great. The hostess was very outgoing and we were seated right away.. even though they were decently busy. It didn't take our server long to greet us and he made great recommendations. I ordered the primavera, which was awesome. It's linguine with mixed peppers with a somewhat spicy tomato sauce. My parents ordered the shrimp pesto pizza. I had a piece and it was just as awesome as my pasta. This restaurant is definitely worth checking out. more

Chicken Avocado BLT..YUM!!! 1/3/2011

Wonderful. 12/17/2010

Wonderful restaurant. I came here for a business meeting yesterday and had a wonderful dining experience. From the beginning to the end the service was outstanding. Not to mention the food here is divine. I ordered the beef stroganoff and was very pleased. The dish was very tasteful and fresh. I will definitely be bringing my wife to eat here. more

Pasta, Pasta, Pasta 12/13/2010

The pasta here is fresh, homemade and delicious. Today for lunch I ordered the lasagna and was not disappointed. The service was pleasant and they also offer a great wine list. The service and food are consistent every time I come here. Mondo's is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in the area. more

I Love It!! 11/10/2010

I love everything about this restaurant. The food, the service, the decor and atmosphere. They have a huge sports bar, but it's classy. They offer a little bit of everything on their menu, so you're guaranteed to find something you like. The grilled salmon salad is awesome and the spinach ravioli with shrimp is delicious. This place is a must. more

Great Dining Experience 11/1/2010

I come to Iowa City every week and am always looking for a new restaurant to try. This past week I came to Mondo's and I loved it. The atmosphere was great and our server was very personable and friendly, she was educated on the food and made great suggestions. They offer a wide variety of food so you are guaranteed to find something you like. I ordered the beef tenderloin bruschetta salad and it was awesome! I will definitely be coming back here. more

Delicious and Fresh 10/18/2010

I really enjoy coming here, especially after work. They have a nice bar that I like to sit at for drinks and appetizers. I also like to come here for dinner. They have a variety of food to choose from. Everything is delicious and made with fresh ingredients. There are so many things to choose from, sometimes it's hard to choose just one but one of may favorite dishes is the Garlic Rubbed Top Sirloin, it's served with veggies and potatoes. This dish is always delicious and cooked perfectly. Another dish I really enjoy is the Margherita gourmet pizza, it's awesome. The service is always friendly and my server is always knowledgeable about the food. This place is a must. more

SO Yummy!!! 10/13/2010

The food here is awesome! Whenever I crave Italian, this is my spot. I agree that the chicken avocado BLT is awesome and is a must if you haven't tried it yet. However, whenever I come here I'm in a pasta mood so I normally get the spaghetti with meatballs or the spinach ravioli with shrimp. But you can't go wrong with whatever you choose, everything is delicious. They also have an amazing Sunday Brunch that is a must. more

GREAT food, GREAT service 9/15/2010

I ate here today for lunch with a couple coworkers. I ordered the Chicken Avocado BLT which was awesome! It is my new favorite sandwich and I highly recommend trying it. Our service was great, our server was knowledgeable and friendly and the food was delicious. I know I will be coming back for the Chicken Avocado BLT and to try some more of their great food! more

Impressed 9/13/2010

I absolutely love this place!! I came here last Friday with coworkers and enjoyed it so much I brought my husband here tonight for dinner. I was just as impressed this time as I was the first time. The first time I got the Chopped Salad. It's the best!! Everything is fresh and flavorful. This time I got the Chicken Marsala which is also amazing. My husband ordered a pizza which he really enjoyed. Both times the service was great, our server was knowledgeable about the food and very friendly. The food and the drinks were delicious, I can't wait to come back and try more of what they have to offer. more

Best Italian 12/27/2003

Mondo's by far is my favorite place to eat in the Iowa City area. Great high quallity food. Locally owned. You have to try it! Pros: good parking, high quallity food, locally owned more
