This place is somewhere I visit from time to time. This is a privately owned small video store located on Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo. The selection is not like a major video rental chain; this place focuses on lesser-known films. This is a nice place if you are looking for something different. more

This is a little video store located on Elmwood Avenue. This place looks more like a house than a video store, but don’t let this deceive you. They have a nice selection of videos here. They specialize in more rare and more hide to find rentals. Getting a membership is easy and their prices are great. more

hard to find videos 8/20/2005

Mondo is an independent video rental place that all the independent and foreign flicks you'd want. They carry documentaries like Bush's Brain, and other uncut foreign and independent films that you won't find in your typical video rental store. Of course you won't be able to find your Hollywood videos here, but if you're looking for those types of movies, you're looking in the wrong place. The owner of Mondo is a movie buff and writes film reviews for the local independent publication, Artvoice. If you're ever in need of something different, intellectually stimulating, or hard to find, head straight to Mondo. Warning that parking may be hard to find. But it's on the Elmwood strip, so you can always walk to it. more

Nice DVD rental store 8/20/2005

This is the place to head to if you couldn't find a DVD anywhere else. You might find the DVD online but this is a place for rentals mostly and I couldn't find what I was looking for a couple of times on Netflix. They have a huge selection of asian movies, not much use to me but then again I was introduced to this store by one of my asian friends who just loves this place. I will not guarantee that you will definitely find what you are looking for here, but you will be really surprised by what you can find. more

Great video store for hard to find items 8/19/2005

This place is great if you are trying to find videos that are not stocked in others stores or had to find online. The staff was really interesting and helpful. The have quite a bit of comic and science fiction related items. Whether you are looking for something in particular or not. You will be surprised with what you may turn up with at this store for a decent price. more

Nice place for hard to find DVD 8/19/2005

Mondo Video is an excellent source for hard to find DVDs. It is a small store where you might not find the latest Ben Affleck movie but will find all the major independent films from the past 5 years. Not muc for sale, mostly a rental place. The selection of foreign films is excellent as well. The store does assign late fees and you need a major credit card to become a member. more
