He is mindful of pressure, of the massage rythm/flow and gives great advice on how to maintain your health. He is excellent. I have also had pedicures here and they are far and away the best treatment. Love the champagne spa treatment on Friday nights. Pros: Best day spa! more

AWESOME Massage Therapists! 11/28/2009

I am a newcomer to California and I have been testing out the local spas looking for a massage therapist that can compare to the one that I had back in Michigan. And let me tell you....I found her! To be honest, my massage therapist from back home, as well as the spa she was at, doesn't really even compare to Augustina or Spa Luxe. In addition to having the perfect pressure and amazing technique, Augustina really listens to what I want and how I'm feeling and I swear she can almost read my mind sometimes! I always leaving feeling great -- relaxed and refreshed. I have recommended this spa to a few friends and they have all had similar experiences! It's really worth checking out...and make sure you ask for Augustina! Pros: Great location, friendly staff and great massage therapists Cons: They don't do house calls :-P more

Spa LUXE is deluxe 8/27/2009

I travel up and down the coast for work so I am constantly looking for a spa to meet the needs of these intense shoulders of mine.Bingo,I 've found my Bay Area spa.After hours of driving I can park easily and begin my mini spa day at the Luxe.The terry cloth lined robes are a nice touch,along with a glass of mint tea and current read I can lounge on a chaise in style.LoVe my massages with Rebecca,she has relaxing knot seeking hands that leave me relaxed for a few days, easily.The skin care and nail lines are high end with reasonable prices.Very Nice! Best massage i ever got! 6/15/2008

I am very pleased with Spa-luxe. As I walked in, I fell in love with their ambience the most. The blue-brown color theme is so soothing and very modern. I met with the manager also who is such a kind and loving person. He directed me to the dressing rooms and Im in a trance.... the inside is completely transformed into a nice calming place. U should see it for yourself. Great detail work. I took advantage of the free snacks and drinks that they offer. I got the hot stone massage and my massage therapist Jason is an expect with his hands! He made sure that the stones are not too hot for me and also made sure that I was completely comfortable. I love to go back time and again and just relax and be pampered by Spa-luxe! more

Pleasant experience at Spa Luxe 10/30/2007

Pleasant little spa and helpful people at the front desk. The person who did my facial could have used a bit more polish ( personally I don't like being called "beautiful" and "darling") Overall the facial was just OK, the pedicure definitely better! Nice neighbourhood resource - with easy parking! - and just fine unless you are looking for a resort spa. Pros: Convenient, excellent parking, nice front desk Cons: Some therapists better than others more

BEST SPA FOR TROUBLE SKIN... 5/7/2007

I have been going to Spa Luxe for over 5 months now. It is very convenient to me, since I live in the area, however after experiencing their services, I would actually drive a distance to get there. My main problem is my skin. I have been cursed with Cystic Acne since I was 9 years old. After years of visiting a Dermatologist, I was fortunate enough to have out grown the acne, but am embarrased by my acne scars. As corny and trite as this may sound, "Spa Luxe has changed my life!!". For the first time in 40 years, I actually can look in the mirror and like what I see. Rita, who works at Spa Luxe has introduced me to a line of cleansers, etc and treatments that are amazing. She is caring, calm and welcoming and the very BEST at what she does. I have visited many Spas' in the past, but SPA LUXE out shines them all. THANK YOU RITA AND THE OTHR STAFF AT SPA LUXE IN REDWOOD SHORES. Pros: warm, comfortable and relaxing Cons: NONE more

ahhhh.... I found my spa! 4/25/2007

I was so glad to find this spa. The staff is GREAT, very professional and courteous. I got the Luxe package and added the bath ritual all for $240, which is very reasonable for an upscale spa. I will most definitely be going back soon. :-) Pros: easy to find, no hassel with parking and great professional service more

My sister and I enjoyed our experience at Spa Luxe very much. The receiptionist was very friendly and professional. The spa is decorated beautifully and amenities were very clean and excellent. We both had very good massages. I definately recommand Spa Luxe. more

The team at Spa Luxe was very professional. The concierge made me feel very welcomed, and my therapist, Rebeca, removed every stress I had! I also enjoyed the relaxed and calm atmosphere. I will definitely go back again! more

GREAT spa! Even better facial! 2/8/2007

This is a fabulous spa for an indulgent little get away. The reception area is packed with interesting items you can buy, but you won't stay there for long. The friendly staff will take you away to the inviting changing room and then you will relax in the relaxation room. The relaxation room is secluded and beautiful with comfy chairs and chaise loungers. There is a nice assortment of refreshments. I had a facial and it was one of the best facials I've ever received. The technician was just incredible. She made helpful suggestions without pushing the products. The entire staff is friendly and fun. I highly recommend this spa! A Wonderful Experience 1/31/2007

I just moved to the area and my skin wasn't reacting well to the new climate. I needed a facialist that could rebalance my delicate skin and help stop the breakouts. When I called Spa Luxe to make and appointment, Roger, the co-owner was so kind and helped me make an appointment for right away. Tanya my facialist was so funny and the facial was relaxing. There was no sales pressure and she made me feel beautiful. My skin felt amazing and its still glowing three days later! I've never had a better spa experience. An oasis where you would never expect it 11/3/2006

I had the best pedicure with Rita and she did my waxing too. The pedicure was the best I ever had in a strikingly beautiful room and in a chair that supports the back and you lie back and can fall asleep. It was great and so relaxing. The owners and staff are so warm and welcoming and they provide vast services in this beautiful environment. I hate to think that they are going to get so booked that I won't get an appointment but I want to share this find. It's really an unusual place where they are concerned about your experience as well as very professional and skilled. They have beauty products that they really know about and are available. You will love the environment, the people and the services. I sure did . more

The best spa experience for facials and massage. 10/28/2006

I recently discovered Spa Luxe in Redwood Shores and my spa experience was out of this world! Beautiful spa environment with ultra friendly and helpful staff, great spa robes and serene lounge with delish chocolate brownies (as well as healthy snacks and tonic bar), deep tissue massage really was stress melting and my facial with an added alpha beta peel has set me on a new path with my skin challenges. Their website description said immediate results and they weren't kidding. I started on my home care and am really amazed at the difference in my skin. They have an extensive list of services and spa packages. Definitely on my list for a champagne rendezvous package for my anniversary and a girls night out with my friends. They are listed as the ultimate luxury lifestyle spa for men and women and they are! more

SPA LUXE IS MY NEWEST FIND! I HAD A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE FROM MELISSA AT THE FRONT DESK TO ROGER THE OWNER. I HAD A FACIAL AND SOME WAXING WITH LAUREN, SHE WAS GREAT! I WAS WELL TAKEN CARE OF IN MY APPOINTMENT SHE ANSWERED MY QUESTIONS ABOUT MY SKIN AND INFORMED ME ON HOW TO BETTER CARE FOR IT. THEN SHE STARTED THE FACIAL...WOW! I MEAN IT WOW!!!!!!!! I WAS SO RELAXED...IT HAS BEEN 4 DAYS SINCE MY FACIAL AND MY SKIN STILL FEELS GREAT TO THE TOUCH AND LOOKS DEWY AND FRESH. I ALSO HAD MY EYE BROWS SHAPPED DURING THE SERVICE. Outstanding service in a luxury setting! 10/22/2006

This new spa is absolutely awesome! The location is convenient, the facilities are gorgeous, and the staff is outstanding. My facial with Kimberly was the best I've ever had and I really enjoyed the Moroccan Mud treatment I had with Roger, one of the owners. I highly recommend this place and I intend to go back very soon -- maybe bring my sister there for a little pampering on her birthday! more

love my brows 10/11/2006

I popped into luxe because I deperately needed my eyebrows waxed and live very close by. This girl named Kim was able to take me in just a minute and although I was hesitant to try a new person, the people at the front assured me that she was very good. I love them! Asian brows are often hard to do and to shape - at least mymine are, but Kim did an awesome job. My brows have never looked so good! I booked a facial with her too because her touch was so gentle and nurturing. It didn't even hurt! Pros: not snobby Cons: had to wait awhile to pay - it was busy. more

Wow, my spa experience was amazing!! 10/9/2006

I have been in the area for over a year now, when i need time to relax and feel good, i go have a facial. In that last year, i have not quite found that place that makes me feel at home. Then about two weeks ago my friend told me about a new spa called Spa Luxe. Wow, this place is beautiful very cozy, it smells refreshing right when u walk through the front door, there lounge is so inviting, i love it! But the staff they are really what makes the place go round=). My gal, her name is Tanya, WOW, one of the best facials i have ever had, she new exactly what my skin needed, my day ended w/ a glow!!! more

Best spa with a great boutique!!!! 10/2/2006

This spa's wonderful face and body treatments are one thing, but the fantastic boutique items are spectacular. They have everything from Hanky Panky and Eberjay lingerie to a wonderful array of necklaces and earrings from a prominent local artist. And you can't forget the great selection of tees, tanks and sweats with fun, hip prints and sayings on them, like "body, mind, spirit" and "relax". No doubt this spot is perfect for relaxation and pampering, but you'll also most likely leave with a gift bag full of goodies!!!! Pros: Wonderful face and body treatments Cons: none more

I love this new Spa!!!! 10/2/2006

I am a spa junkie and this new place has everything and more! I get massages on a regular basis and it's hard to find a good therapist but Lori was incredible! She could feel exactly where all my knots were and had such good touch, I know now I've found MY THERAPIST! Then I had the finishing touches of a perfect hydrating hand wrap and Le Vin Chardonnay Manicure from Rita, so pampering, so I'm sold! This will definitely be part of my weekly routine! more
