Editorial review from Citysearch 5/21/2013

My daughter has been at Monarch Montessori School since it opened its doors in 2010 and we are very sad to say good bye as she moves to first grade in the fall of 2013.\r For the past three years Casey and her co/assistant teachers have shown our very high energy and curious child respect, love, and gracious instruction that has given her high confidence in reading, math, science, art, and most importantly has built her confidence in her ability to learn and grow in any area she chooses to pursue. My daughter is a confident and eager learner, with a passion for new adult career nearly every day. She fully believes that the world is open to her for exploration and this is in no small part due to the amazing instruction she has received at Monarch Montessori School.\r The Montessori model and Casey's passion for its principles create an environment where each child is allowed to pursue their interests in a highly individual and non-competitive way, while creating a positive peer modeling environment to encourage growth. When we began at Monarch I intended to pursue home school or a classical education post-kindergarten. Due to the way we have seen Montessori and Casey's implementation of Dr. Montessori's concepts open up the potential of our child we have chosen to continue Montessori through 6th grade and I have full confidence that this will be the best environment for my daughter to reach her full potential in a loving and supportive environment.\r Additionally, Lindsay is a communicative and supportive administrator who has been ready and willing to help accommodate our specific needs in aftercare as a family, and I have always felt I could approach Lindsay or Casey with absolutely any concern or question I may have about my daughter or the school. Lindsay and Casey have also been highly selective as they add other adults to their school, and I've been thrilled at the strong, loving, and intelligent women that my daughter looks up to as role models in this school.\r When my daughter began aftercare I was a little nervous about the long amount of time she would be spending at the school. I found that she was excited and engaged to be involved in the aftercare activities and nearly always wished she could stay at school ""just a little longer"". It is so wonderful to know that my daughter has had a home away from home for the past three years where she feels safe, secure, and loved. Not once has she dreaded attending school or been relieved to be picked up, giving me confidence in the environment where she spends the bulk of her day.\r My daughter has asked that I include this in the review, for anyone who might be considering this school, ""Monarch Montessori is lots of fun for your child, with lots of friends, and your kid can have lots of education while being healthy."" more
