Always good food and friendly staff!!! Last week i went there with two friends who had never been there--they were impressed that we had a place like this--They were ready to go back tonight and try something else out--me i 'm a stick in the mud and stay with my Mona Lisa Special Sandwich............... Mona Lisa's New Orleans 7/16/2010

My husband and I love Mona Lisa's and eat there whenever we're in the area. It's romantic, but also great for families as it's not loud so you can hear one another. Our favorites are the eggplant Parmesan, chicken fettuccine, meatball sandwich, salad, and the pizza. We've never had bad service, and find them to be friendly and 'normal' - not like Chile's waiters that bother you every 5 seconds and sit next to you. :-) Sorry about that tangent. RUDE host/long wait to get seated/rude server 7/15/2010

We went to Mona Lisa at the recommendation of some local New Orleans residents. We were told there would be a 15 minute wait...we waited 35 minutes or longer outside. We were seated only because we inquired about how much longer the wait would be....when we were seated we told the waiter we knew what we wanted and requested to order before a large party. The server was VERY rude. We were told they would go get us some water. We left decided to cut our losses wasted time! We walked out. The attitude of the server was very poor. My Favorite Restaurant. 5/30/2006

I love Mona Lisa's. I always have to eat here when I'm in the quarter. My best friend and I always get a Mediterranean salad (you HAVE to try the feta dressing) and a pizza to share. It's perfect. We ate here on our honeymoon and it was romantic, very quaint, well priced, and Awesome FOOD! The calzones are out of this world! I had to go back the next day and eat there again. We are spoiled! We love the casual, laid back feel at Mona Lisa's. The food is excellent.....try the feta dressing on your salad or a pizza just the way you like it. Funky atmosphere, it's what you might call a dive, but there are fun interpetations of the Mona Lisa hanging on the walls......don't go to New Orleans without visiting Mona Lisa's. Best pizza - period 2/13/2003

We've been here twice - love that pizza! This is the only restaurant we came back to on our second visit to the city. Our fav is the mediterranean pizza - great. Pass on the tomato olive salad: it's not what you think. I expected feta, black olives, a greek salad. I got iceberg lettuce & green olives. Oh well. Skip the red zinfindel - have the chianti instead. Pros: Superb Pizza, Mona Lisa outtakes Cons: Kind of slow service, Tavern atmosphere more

Best Caesar Salad . . . Ever! 1/9/2003

This restaurant is funky, small, and the service is excellent. I've been twice and their caesar salad is to die for and both their pastas and pizzas are very good. It's in a more residential section of the quarter, and the fact that locals frequent this eatery should tell you a lot about it. more
