To combat BS reviews 7/16/2010

I had to dig out my citysearch ID just so I could review this. I had previously thought that internet reviews could easily be spoofed by competition (heavy on the neg's) or employees (heavy on the pro's). Since this one has received a couple of ridiculously negative one's I thought I'd act. Mona Lisa does really good pizza. Very good. I can't seem to move past the pizza to try their other selections, but friends and family have tried entrees and reported them to be very good also. If you haven't tried the place, and you're interested, definitely give it a try. Pros: great pizza, good food in general Cons: simple decor, but who cares? more

Keep moving! 11/9/2007

I use to work near this place and ate there twice. Once in their own spot and last in their new one.First time I ate there I got pasta, it was terrible. It was dried out and had no flavor what so ever. The second visit I ordered a slice of pizza w/salad.The pizza was the worse I have ever ate, I have ate better frozen pizza from the grocery store.I will never go there again and I would recommend other's to be cautions or just keep moving on past Mona Lisa. Pros: Good serive and location. Cons: Food, Food and Food. more

Great service, best italian food in north atlanta! 9/25/2007

This was our second time at Mona Lisa's, and it was even better than the first. Great food, the Chicken Roma special that I had was cook to perfection. My wifes veal was very tender! It was a little dark but that was quickly fixed! We have found our favorite italian restaurant. Pros: Great service! Great food! Cons: Just beer and wine. more

Best authentic NY Hand tossed PIzza Around plus an full Italian menu 9/18/2007

Second time at Mona Lisa's. Love the $15 Tuesday Wine Bottle Night. We were a party of 4 adults-- ordered pizza and entrees that were all fantastic. That thin crust hand tossed pizza was right out of a cafe in NY city. Service was timely and friendly. Server was well informed on the wine list and all of the entrees. The owner even came out to the table to greet us, recognizing we were ""new"" to the place.\r You are missing the boat and some great italian food if you don't check this place out!!!! Oh yeah--the homemade Cheesecake and cannoli's--you just can't find this anywhere else in Atlanta. Pros: Great place for any party size Cons: Can't really see it from Holcomb Bridge--its in the Krogers plaza more

Used to be the best - NOT ANYMORE! 7/8/2007

Mona Lisa Pizza used to have the best pizza in Atlanta. For true authentic NY style pizza, my wife and I used to head to Mona Lisa - no questions asked. Mona Lisa recently moved across the street to a larger facility. Yesterday, my wife and I visited the new facility. Great place, but the pizza was horrible! We ordered some knots, a Caesar salad, and a large pepperoni pizza. I like oregano, but this pizza was covered in it and the cheese seemed different than what they used to use! I hate to say it, but we will probably not be back. We absolutely loved the way they used to make pizza at the old location, but the pizza at the new location was some of the worst I've had. I used to recommend this place whenever anyone asked about good pizza places - I will not be recommending Mona Lisa to anyone in the future. Pros: Nice new establishment. Cons: No where near as good as it used to be. more

Cute atmosphere, lousy service, food too expensive for its size. 6/5/2007

I went there with two friends on a weekday night and when we first got in there, I loved the atmosphere. It had movie quotes written on the wall and while we were waiting, we tried to guess the movies. There was one waiter, and by the time we had figured out all the movies, he still hadn't come over. We finally realized that he was watching some game on tv and had to go get him. When we finally ordered, my friend got an entree salad that ended up being the size of my side salad, for $10. We asked for bread twice before we finally got it, and whne we got it, it was burned. We waited another twenty minutes after we were done eating to finally get our check because the waiter was still watching the game. The food was so-so and nothing to outweight the horrible service and high prices for mediocre food. Pros: Atmosphere Cons: Food, service, price more

Absolutly the best Pizza in Atlanta 10/18/2005

I can even begin to say how good Mona Lisa'a Pizza is. I'm a native New Yorker and have been to many Pizza places here in the Atlanta area trying to fine one with ""Real"" New York style pizza that they all claim to have. My husband was listening to Sports Talk 790 the zone when one of the guys was asked what he thinks is the best pizza place in in Atlanta is. He said Mona Lisa's Pizzeria in Alpharetta. He was from New York also and said that they were the only place here in Atlanta that have pizza with the real New York pizza taste. We went that same night to find out and ihe was right. It's the best ""New York style pizza"" in Atlanta. Their prices are great, their food is delicious. I highly recommend. more
