Very enjoyable dinner 11/23/2010

This was our first visit. Nice setting and efficient service. Our favorites were the duck leg confit appetizer and frisee and bacon salad. Servings were large and the chicken fricasee was good, not special. My son really liked his Steak Béarnaise with fries but the thin slices resulted in medium rare being closer to medium. Enjoyable experience for us. more

Great Modern French Food 5/6/2010

I really like Mon Ami Gabi. I might be a bit biased because my office is right about the restaurant, but still, the food (and wine) is delish! After you get seated you get a fresh baguette and butter (yum!). I love their house-chopped salad and I always order a side of their fries (super thin and crispy). The bar is large with ample standing room. Great French wines, and really good bar-appetizers to! If you find yourself in Reston Town Center, I'd say stop on in! Pros: Order the french fries! Cons: The outside patio can get packed in the warm months more

And that wonderful crisp baguette with real fresh butter.

    Fact is, for anyone who knows and loves classic French bistros and their honest-to-goodness, remarkably flavorful classic dishes, Mon Ami Gabi is simply the perfect place. It's Old World beautiful, New World friendly, and openly easy to love.
