Mommy and Me Montessori Prep School

I'm Ms Patty; Montessori trained, experienced mother/teacher: The two main goals of my program are to teach Mommies how to teach their preschool/school age children to read, since reading leads into all other subjects. The second is to teach these other subjects in my Montessori curriculum as well as mentor Moms. The one on one is the most effective teaching/learning tool and is unique to my Montessori program. Briefly, Moms share time teaching their own children on a rotational basis here at school and/or in their own homes. Children 2 1/2 - 5 attend at $20 per 3 hour session, 2, 3 or 5 day option from 8:45 - 12:15. A Reggio Emilia approach to the arts is used. Instructional DVD's and hands-on practice at parent meetings enable you both to succeed! I would like to submit this review for MY Mommy - Patricia Patty Ann T aylor. Since I was a child of Montessori age in her household, nearly 30 yrs. ago, she has definately increased her supply of great Montessori teaching supplies. I still remember the letters made with sand paper that she would have me trace with my fingers and this other thing that you could practice with zippers, buttons, snaps and buckles. I don't know why but that one was my favorite. I learned how to read when I was only 4 yrs. old. In Elementery School I was put into G.A.T.E. (when they still used to call it that), in Junior High and High School I was put in honors classes and AP courses. I'm running out of my 1000 characters. I just want to thank my mom Patty for spending the time and energy to give me that boost of knowledge and experience in my early years of life. Today I am a confident and succesful business owner of two companies and I love my Mom for giving me an edge in life. more
