Excellent Food and really fun crowd 5/21/2010

I live in the suburbs, so this a great place to see a hip crowd. This is not for the calorie conscious although they do have a good ceaser salad. I especially love the outdoor dining in the summer. After a hard days work, this is the perfect place to unwind with a martini and indulge... Pros: the drinks and prime rip Cons: gets crowded more

Favorite local spot 12/6/2007

I used to live across the street from Molly's and would be there 6 nights a week. Maybe not the healthiest habit, but the bartenders were so friendly, and the atmosphere is so warm that it was easy to spend a lot of time there. Whenever I come back for a visit I make sure to add it to the top of my list of places to stop by. It's everything that a neighborhood bar should be. more

Rude Bartender, no food, overpriced drinks 3/31/2007

I honestly live 3 blocks from Molly's, yet I advise everyone to skip this place. The neighborhood of Soulard is about casual friendly living and it's bars reflect that mentality. Molly's tries to create the ""upscale"" big city lounge where it doesn't belong. I asked the bartender upstairs one night, ""What's the cheapest drink you have""? Usually I get a response like, ""We have $2 PBR's tonight"", I'll say, ""Great! I have one of those"". At Molly's, this guy told me to get the hell out of ""his"" bar and don't come back. Nice way to treat a neighbor, huh? I asked him how much was a Bud Light. He said it was $3.50. I tied to order another one later, but he refused to serve me told me I was a cheap a**. All because I asked him a simple customer question. Pros: Good people watching Cons: Bad service, no food more

Great Summer, Good in Winter 12/28/2005

Molly's is definitely a bar that you need to stop in at during your pub crawl through Soulard. There are a two bars inside, one downstairs and one upstairs. An additional bar is open during the warmer months outside. Like most popular Soulard bars, you should expect a crowd if you arrive later than 10PM. During winter time the downstairs bar area can be very crowded and take some time to get through. Upstairs is usually thinned out. Come summer time, expect a very large crowd both inside and out. Pros: Cheaper Drinks, Attractive People, Good Parking Cons: Can Get Crowded, Music can be too Loud more

Not Your Usual Soulard Bar 9/6/2004

Molly's recently remodeled and reopened. Previously it was your ""typical"" Soulard bar that featured mainly beer drinking South-City folk. Now they've gone upscale featuring martinis and other mixed drinks, dance music and cabanas out back on the patio. Could have done some more remodeling if trying to go for the upscale crowd (which is there in force). Pros: Martini Specials Cons: , Decor more
