Best

Grandma Mojo is the best. She lets my daughter order for herself and even remembers the wheat and tomato allergies. Very friendly service and is always kind. We even brought ot...

Worst

Burgers are good. Fries often taste reheated and are extra greasy. Sometimes are good. \r \r And you are right, the male owner is a real dick. The wife is nice though.\r \...

Prices too high for a high school student 4/24/2006

I'm a student at STHS, which is literally right across the street. And along with other students, I sometimes go there after school. Now most of you know...students are usually broke. Or don't have a lot of money. In my opinion, if you want to open a restraunt next to a school, the prices better be in the range that a student could afford. All we could get is a cheeseburger or two, because they are 99 cents each, but a meal is about $7. The food is pretty good quality, the regular cheeseburger is a little plain, but the fries are great. Pros: good quality, seperate kids tables, good service Cons: expensive more

Average. 4/2/2006

Items reviewed: Double mojoburger with cheese, onion rings, french fries. Being on a quest for the ultimate hamburger, I just had to check this citysearch winner out. Unfortunately, Mojo burger does not make it to the top of my own list. I found that the hamburgers, with all the fixings, taste just like burger king's own Whopper. While the burgers were large and quite juicy, they don't stand out. The fries also seem off. While they look fresh, they taste like fast-food style frozen. So if you're a big fan of the whopper and would like a bigger, badder incarnation of the fast food experience, then mojoburger is for you. However if you're a fan of hole-in-the-wall burger stands, look elsewhere. Overall: C+ Pros: Onion Rings, Clean setting, fast service Cons: uninspired burgers, expensive, frozen fries more

Good thing I was sitting down... 2/20/2006

...for if I was standing up, I would have fallen over in shock. Since it was my first time trying Mojo's I wanted to go with something small and simple. When I received my cheeseburger combo basket, I had to dig through a bit of paper to find the burger. Once I opened the wrapper, I was quite disappointed to find a flattened bun dwarfing an overly charred tiny meat patty. Contained inside was a little squirt of ketchup, mustard and single runt of a pickle slice. Be prepared--no tomatoes, lettuce, or onions are included in the deal without an extra cost. Fries fell flat, too. Unfortunately for this small neighborhood establishment, better meals are had at other venues for the cost. Pros: Pleasant service, Fairly quick Cons: Poor value, Ordinary menu, Uninteresting setting more

Good food but pricey 1/9/2006

This is the best fast hamburger place in the South Bay, but expect to pay for it. Onion rings are $3 for a small pack. For one person, don't expect to leave w/out spending $9 or more. Pros: Food, Fries, Service Cons: Price, Portions more

A perfect hamburger, with an Island touch 6/7/2005

A friend recommended this restaurant to me, and on hearing the name I thought, ""Another burger joint? Why?"" After trying it, I won't be going anywhere else. I've tried both the Teriyaki Chicken sandwich and the Mojo #2 (double with cheese) a couple of times. They were delicious and really brought back that childhood burger feeling. All they need to add to the menu is Loco Moco. Hopefully the owners will be able to open more shops so I can get a Mojo Burger where ever I am. Pros: Kid Friendly, Excellent Taste, Nice and Clean Cons: Single Store more

The best in town! 6/4/2005

I have to admit I love a good burger. A friend told me to stop by Mojo. What can I say but WOW. Finally a place with a dam good char-broiled burger. Great people and they actually care how your day is going, not like robots! Fries are awesome and fresh. Nice theme and very clean. I will be back... Thanks for a great experience!! Pros: Great, Service, Taste more

I Agree - Best Burger in the Bay Area! 6/3/2005

The Mojo #1. combo is a burger out out of my childhood memory combined with fresh-cut fries cooked just right. I also love the Slo-jo chicken burger, its on a crunchy roll instad of the usual burger bun. My kids like the little TV why I enjoy the surf & skate flicks on the big tvs. You get to watch your burger get cooked from scratch, staff is friendly and most importantly, the bathroom is clean! Can't recommend enough, check it out- Pros: quality of food, staff friendliness, value for money Cons: gets busy, not open late, not romantic locatio more

Great food Outstanding Service 6/2/2005

This local burger restaurant gives you a little local island feel. The food is some of the best I have tasted. The burgers are made fresh just the way you like it and you can usually find one of the owners there. The fresh cut fries are the bomb and the place is always clean. The kid section is great and the parents can enjoy a nice conversation over their meal. Nice to go to a restaurant where the people actual want to hear your feedback and strive to make your experience one to remeber. more

Completely Average. In & Out is far better 5/26/2005

Nothing stood out. The atmosphere is that of a fast food-reminded me of a McDonalds. The burgers were average. Dry. Fries were rather blah. Shake was blah. Totally average. I was really let down. I assumed due to the good ratings here that it would be great. It wasn't even close. Pros: Well lit, Kid Friendly Cons: Uncomfy seating, No atmosphere, Food average more
