I used this cleaners near my house twice. Both times I took them fragile fabrics. I am a performer and have long skirts and dresses that often need dry cleaning. The first time they cleaned a chiffon dress. It came out ok but there was a dark blemish (not very noticeable) on it when I got it back. I couldn't swear it wasn't there before so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Plus you could barely see it since it was a dark color dress anyway.
The second time was this weekend and that did it for me! I took them a floor length skirt which I have worn maybe 30 times in the past year. In other words, I'm well aware how it fits me, how it drapes, where it touches the floor, etc. when I got it back it was ankle length and a bit snug!! They shrunk it! I asked if they steam pressed it and he said yes, they did! I said this fabric cannot be steamed... It shrivels. His answer was that ""they have cleaned other fabric like this with no problem"". That is not an answer. They ruined my skirt. It had a special finish on the taffeta. They should have been more careful. Then he would not admit they ruined it nor offer me any recompense. I put it on to show him and he basically tried to tell me it was my hips! (which could not have grown that much in two weeks!) The skirt was a good 3-4 inches shorter! I will never go back and if you have any special garments, I wouldn't take a chance with them either.
