Kevin is such an artist! I've had him execute a couple of table bases for granite tops, and he has done a terrific job! He has a lot of yard art out by the office and they are so interesting! Even though most of his business is gates, stairs, railings (just look at their website to see the quality) he loves to create pieces of art. If you can't find a contemporary table in this town (and I couldn't after looking for months) just get a granite or marble top that you like and take a picture of something you like. He can even work with material like rebar. The trick is to let him take his time. Everything turns out great! Kevin and the folks at Modern Iron are great problem solvers and know how to get a job done, even when problems arise. I have called on them for emergency service work and have always been satisfied. I needed some repairs done to a set of steps, on the side of my house. Kevin came over and gave me a price. He said he would have it done within one week. He finally called the day before the week would have been up and said he was coming the next morning. I had tried repeatedly to reach him and did not get a returned phone call, but at last he called me. The next morning by 10 am, he had not shown up or called. When we called him he said "" He'd had a problem at another site and was running late"". When we asked when he would be coming, he said he would be at our home by 12 noon and would have the work completed no later that 3 pm. At 3 pm, when he had not shown up, I tried to call him and got only the voicemail. I left a message saying that I really needed to know when and if he was coming. When I got no response, I left a message saying I would not need his service. Eureka! He called almost immediately.
