Modern Hair Salon

Loved this salon! I was a walk-in and was treated like a regular. Lisa gave me my hair cut, highlights and lowlights and she did an awesome job! They are all very nice people as well, gave my daughter snacks and water and were very pleasant to talk to. I highly recommend going here, you will not be disappointed! I think this may become my go-to salon, and that is really saying a lot because I usually don't go to the same salon twice! more

After trying several other salons I am happy to say that I have found one that I am happy with! All of the employees are very friendly and I know I can trust them to do an exceptional job with my hair each and every time. Keep up the great work! more

I have lived here 6 years and FINALLY found someone I trust and really like to do my hair. I had a wash, cut, style, and highlights for a great deal! Yeah...it's not the fanciest salon but, I love the ladies there. Lynn is awesome. I know another person complained about her being a little too personal about her acne but, that is just how she is! She just loves helping people! My 3 year loves her too. more

I traveled a lot and Lynn is one of the two best hair-stylists I ever had (the other one is in Hawai?i). At other hair salons I either received poor service, and ugly haircut, or I was charged exorbitant prices. In some cases, I was pressured into having a hairstyle that I did not like, because the beautician insisted that would have looked better on me. I had none of these problems at Modern Hair Salon, in Cedar Park. I can?t say enough how pleased I am with Lynn?s service. She always does what I ask her to do, she does it well, and at an affordable price. Efficient and skilled, a perfectionist in fact, she won?t let me go until she has made the best out of me. She is also fast, and genuinely friendly. I never had to wait much, even when I just walked in and every visit to her parlor has been pleasant and comfortable. Lynn welcomed me at all times, and made herself available even on a Sunday, when I needed. She accommodated me in every possible way, like a friend would do. I am grateful to have found her! more

I was going to the Lakeline mall JCPenney Salon for 8 years where I received great haircuts, however it was becomming increasingly expensive and I was always waiting for at least 30 minutes even though I had an appointment. I decided to try Modern Hair Salon because it was highly recommend to me by a friend. I received the same great hair cut at half the price and without the hassle of setting appointments on limited days to see my hair stylist. I just come in when it is convenient for me and the wait is minimal, in fact much less than when I was setting appointments at JC Penney. Lynn does a great job of cutting hair the way you like it. more

I can't imagine that one reviewer going into the same salon that I have been going into for the past several months. I have tried several other stylists in the past several years, at times resorting to just cutting my own hair and my kids, because I thought there wasn't an adequate stylist in my price range. The first time I went into Modern Hair Salon it was 20 minutes past closing and I offered to come back the next day, but Lynn sat me down and in 10 minutes I had the best haircut I'd had in years! The next day I brought my daughter in --- my teenage daughter that hated to get her haircut anywhere because it's so thick and curly, I would inevitably have to ""fix"" it once we were home. Now, my daughter won't go anywhere else. She and my teenage son and my husband have also gotten their hair cut before by Vuilma (I think that's her name.... can't remember now, but she's very sweet), and any of us have yet to be disappointed. more

I read the previous review and wonder if this is the actual salon that person had visited. I've been here at least 9 times and would be more often but I'm out of town a lot. I've been coming here for the last 3 years. Pros: Nice neighborhood more

I should have known as soon as I walked in that it would be a horrible salon. It was dirty, there were outdated posters on the wall and my stylist's shirt was showing a few inches of midriff. While I was getting my hair shampooed, she proceeded to get water down my shirt and began questioning me on my skin care routine, while stating how bad my acne was (its mild). To top off thw worst service of my life, she stopped mid cut to show me her son's report card. And the cut- i couldn't hold in my tears at the sight of it- it was that bad. I asked for a trim ""because i'm growing out my hair"", 3 inches were cut off, and the scissors left 100 too many split ends. Absolutely horrible salon, anyone who loves their hair should stay far away. Pros: N/A Cons: service, cut, atmosphere more

My wife and I are pleased with the service Lynn provides. We were happy she opened her business as she was our stylist at our previous hair salon. This is the first stylist my wife is happy with when it comes to the results of hair coloring (no one else will ever touch her hair). Pros: small business, can usually get in and out quickly with no appointment. more
