I understand that the Dr's & staff at Modern Family & Dorchester Dentistry work in both office, traveling back & forth between the two, so I wanted to make sure that this was posted under Modern as well so that everyone interested could avoid a horrible experience. \r

I went to have my teeth cleaned months ago & they told me I needed my wsdom tooth pulled. I went back a couple months later for pain in my jaw, knew it was my wisdom tooth. Due to work & school restraints, I could not have it pulled at the time, but I wanted to make sure that I did not have an infection. The Dr was very rude, said it needed to come out & if I didn't do it right then, I would just be in pain until I did. No antibiotics, no nothing. So, I scheduled for a month later as my schedule allowed. Luckily my jaw stopped hurting for a while. \r

I called to set appt & then changed it for a week earlier. The receptionist said that she would show my xrays to the Dr to make sure that she was comfortable doing it. She called me back & said that she was. I am petrafied of needles, so when the days comes, I am freaking out. I am in the exam room for 15-20 minutes before the Dr comes in to tell me she wants to look at it one more time to make sure she is comfortable. She decides she is not and they rush me out of the office to go to their sister office called Modern Dentisty, which was closing in 20 minutes & across town, but they said the Dr would ""wait"" for me. \r

My car overheated & I was not able to get there. I called the answering service at BOTH offices & begged them to please call in some antibiotics b/c I was sure that my tooth was infected. NEVER got a call back.\r

My jaw again stopped hurting for a couple of days & started right back 2 days before Thanksgiving. I called & asked for my records to please be sent to another dentist (my parents dentist) as he was pulling it the following week. I also asked if since they were the last Dr's of record if they would again please call in some antibiotics. They refused. Said they would not write anything for me. I got angry & reminded them that I was in this position because of them in the 1st place & the other Dr will not do anything until he sees me. The person I spoke to was very rude & said that they went out of their way to accomodate me but because of MY schedule, it was basically my fault etc and they refused to write anything for me. Yet, they could not explain why they never returned my call that 1st day or why the Dr that rushed me out in the 1st place wouldn't just call them in as she saw the shape of the tooth that day. \r

I am really very thankful however. Since this experience, I have talked to 4 different people I know that have had inicredibly bad experiences with this practice. Very rude staff & dentists. Very bad experiences when they have had wisdom teeth pulled as well. One person even has a lawsuit going with Modern Dentistry b/c they broke her jaw & tried to cover it up! \r

So really, thank you Dorchester Dentistry. You have been very helpful. I didn't have to go through the pain & the torture that others have at your practice and at the practice of Modern Dentisty. I have never in my life been treated so badly as I have been by your practice. \r
