Everyone wants to be a model at one point in his or her life. Okay, so maybe some of us didnot, but who couldnot use a few tips on how to strut their stuff? Karla Mena can turn you into that runway beauty in no time flat. The goal of Mena's business, the Modeling Training Center (MTC), is to give everyone a chance to shine on the stage at least once. No matter what body type you have, no matter what age you are, or if you have never seen an episode of ""America's Next Top Model"" in your life, the Modeling Training Center will revamp your style so you are ready for your close up. Not only could you get featured in San Diego, but Mexico as well, giving models an easy access to international status. ""I get to play with the tools I have here at the Modeling Training Center to feature our talent on both sides of the border,"" says Mena, who is the president and owner of the school. The instructors at MTC teach classes involving posture, voice, manners, and even acting. The studio is staffed by modeling professionals, many who have worked in New York, Los Angeles, and other hotspots for fashion in order to give you the best education on what it takes to make it in print, film, or on the catwalk (MTC has one you can practice on for homework). Classes usually range between $40.00 and $60.00 per week, but sponsorships are available for those who qualify. There are kids and teen classes for ages 5-10, 10-16, 16-21 and even a ladies advantage course, for those women who want to spice up their wardrobe, make-up and more. Or if you just want to look like a model? The boutique upfront has an assortment of accessories to make eyes pop. If Karla can see a potential model hidden in this humble reporter, think about what she can do for someone who knows how to rock an outfit other than jeans and a t-shirt.
