GREAT SALON, GREAT HAIRCUT!!!!!!!!!! 7/28/2011

I moved to Indiana from California. I wanted to get a haircut and have my hair highlighted. I called Mode Salon and Day Spa. My Stylist was Rhonda. She did a great job on my color and cut. Rhonda is very knowledgeable in her field, and is very professional. I felt like a million bucks when I left the salon. She did a great job on my hair. I am very happy. I love it , love it, love my hair. I will recommend Rhonda to anyone. more

TERRIBLE SERVICE, SHE TALKED ABOUT PEOPLE BEING FAT! 7/19/2011

OVERPRICED I HAD TO HAVE SOMEONE FINISH WHAT SHE HALF WAY STARTED. I DID CALL HER AND SHE SAID SHE NEVER WEAVE A ENTIRE HEAD HUH?? JUST ADMIT YOU MESSED UP.IF ONLY SHE WOULD OF STOPPED TALKING ABOUT EVERYONE MAYBE SHE WOULD OF COMPLETED WHAT I PAID HER FOR. TERRIBLE BUSINESSSS!!!! AND WITH THE BIG SPIDER SHE HAD TO SMASH ON THE FLOOR WAS ALSO A TURN OFF. LOOKS NOTHING INSIDE LIKE THE COMPUTER I WAS SHOCKED, I THOUGH I WAS REALLY STEPPING INTO A NICE SPA ATMOSPHERE HA HA SMALL, AND NOTHING TO MENTION. TERRIBLE SERVICE. AND THE KICKER SHE HAD THE NERVE TO USE A LIGHT BROWN THREAD ON MY DARK VERY DARK BLACK HAIR, AND YES THREADS WERE HANGING. RUN FROM MODE SALON. IT SHOULD BE CALLED CODE SALON. I HAVE PIX OF MY WEAVE ALSO I'M TRYING TO POST THESE AS WE SPEAK. TERRIBLE BUSINESS, AND I HEARD SHE CHARGES 1,200 FOR A FUSION WEAVE. I HAD FUSION IN THE PAST FROM CHICAGO AND THEY DON'T CHARGE 1,200 AND I HAD IT DONE FROM BIGGER AND BETTER SALONS THAN THIS CRAP, SHE IS SORTA LOOPIE AND SOMEONE HAS TO BE VERY LOOPIE TO GIVE HER 1,200 FOR A FUSION, I KNOW I WAS CRAZY FOR GIVING HER $375.00 AND SOMEONE HAS TO FIX HER MESS. more

Tremendously OVERPRICED and Highly Overrated 2/24/2011

IF I COULD HAVE GIVEN THIS SALON A ZERO, I WOULD HAVE. If you are as wealthy as a celebrity and have hundreds - literally hundreds of dollars to spend on your hair, I might say to visit Mode Salon. You might get a decent hair job that if you stretch your imagination and squint your eyes tight enough, may look like it's worth a fourth of it. As I checked out of the salon recently, I was utterly shocked and disappointed at what I was charged. At a time when everyone in this economy struggles, it seems that this salon does its best to get ahead. At the patrons' expense. It was an utter waste of far too much money. more

Rhonda is by far the best stylist I've ever had! I've been going to her for about a year now and could not be more pleased... she listens to what you want, works her magic and delivers every time! Thank you Rhonda - I actually LOVE my hair for the first time ever! more

Delightful Hair Stylist Knows Her Job 9/22/2010

I recently found myself looking for a new hair stylist, which can be very disconcerting and especially scary when the color on your all gray hair is really starting to show! I had two bad experiences with what I thought were reputable people and was really "running scared"! Ha! A good friend recommended her stylist(Greta Randolph) at Mode Salon.Greta knew I was nervous and very easily put me at ease.She has done a great job ever since. I feel like she is a friend as well as my hair stylist. Very professional as well. more

Mode stylist trumps competition 3/4/2009

I recently moved to Indy from California and delayed having anyone touch my long hair for about 7 months (I'm pretty picky). Then I read another new resident's experience at Mode, particularly with stylist Angie. I had my hair cut today, and I have to say that Angie is the real deal -- a real talent. She listened to what I wanted, instantly had a plan and delivered with star-power. She gave me the best 'do I've had outside of L.A. Mode is the place to go if you want to look good, and I appreciated its unpretentious atmosphere, friendly staff and fab stylist. Thank you, Angie, for making me feel like "home"...and look great, too! more

Won't go anywhere else 8/27/2008

I have been going to Mode for 3 years now and won't go anywhere else. Xanthe who has been my stylist for the last year and a half there is very friendly and knows exactly what to do. She listens to what I want and completely delivers. The atmosphere is calming and they take their time to get things right. Nothing ever feels rushed. I recommend this place to anyone. more

I found my new stylist! 2/11/2008

I am a recent transplant to Indianapolis from San Antonio, and needed a haircut badly. I had been going to the same lady for almost 10 years back in Texas, and was apprehensive about putting my wavy, thick hair that I like to wear straight in new hands. I called Mode Salon on a Saturday asking if there were any openings. The woman who answered, Angie, didn't immediately say she had an opening, but after hearing my nervousness about trying a new stylist, suggested that she herself would take care of me. I could not be more pleased with the outcome. Besides reshaping my hair nicely, she cut some new, "in" bangs for me, which I was nervous about because even my old stylist hadn't gotten them quite right. Hers are perfect. I would recommend Angie at Mode Salon to anyone--and I have, since everyone has asked me where I got my hair cut. Affordable, too. Pros: long hours during week, full-service salon, centrally located, affordable Cons: I imagine they get booked quick--but I got a same-day appt. more

Great experience at Mode Salon! 6/21/2007

The master stylist was very professional and friendly! She's also FAST! My shampoo and style appointment lasted a little over an hour...very impressive! I purposely gave her very little direction for the styling because I wanted to see what she would do. She styled my hair to frame my face and I loved it! (Usually, I walk out the door, get in my car and immediately start "fixing" my hair, even after I told the stylist exactly what I wanted) The salon is neat, nicely decorated and comfortable. My favorite feature?! The sinks! I am very short and at most salons I find myself having to stretch uncomfortably to get my head right in the sink, or just get soaked down my back. At Mode, the sinks adjust to you!! The staff was very friendly as well. I made a second appointment, and they worked with me to get the time I wanted. I called and left a message to see if I could reschedule and within an hour I received a phone call back. Also, if you give them your e-mail, you will recieve a Welcome Letter, which I thought was nice, and appointment reminders, which I think is GREAT! more

Very nice salon! 1/19/2006

I'm new to the city and needed a great stylist to shape up my hair. After trying several places, I found what I was looking for at Mode. The staff is great, the atmosphere is charming. I was in and out in two hours. I highly recommend it. more

A Wonderful Salon 1/11/2006

This has been the best salon I have been to. It is always clean. The atmosphere is always comforting and relaxing. The staff always makes you feel right at home. I would not go anywhere else. I have been going to this salon for almost four years and have always been treated with love, care, and respect there is no one better than my Mode Salon!!!!! Keep up the wonderful work you guys do. Had a Great Time 11/1/2005

I heard a lot of good things about this salon...so I decided to go and see for myself. I got my hair highlighted and cut, and received a wonderful facial. I was very impressed by their staff. Their professionalism, efficiency and skills were top notch. I love my hair, and my skin feels rejuvinated. I will definately be back! best hair salon in all of indy 10/28/2005

i am a new comer to indy, and as a african american women it was very important for me to find a salon that specalizes in black hair care. so one dayi was searching the web and mode salon came up, as a saw that the mater stlyist was an african american i decided to give it a try. the instant i walked in, i fall in love with the mod-deco. i was greeted by the master stylist and as i explianed to her the style that i wanted done, she immediately understood what i meant. between the space of forty-five mintues to an hour i had a beautiful hairdo and was on my way to the mall to show it off. personaly i found the service helpful and very productive. the master stylist was a doll, she took her work seriously and with great patiance and caution. Stay Away! 10/12/2005

I would not recommend going to this salon, because the stylist are not up to date on the newest styles. I feel like they charge way too much for what you get. I was not impressed at all. I felt like the master stylist was not "master" by any means. She was rude and very cocky, I do not like being in that environment. more

Great Salon 9/24/2005

This is a great salon for the money. I got my hair cut, colored, and styled by the master stylist for $100. The cut and color was just what I wanted. The master stylist really listened to what I wanted. I have paid $200 in the past for just a so/so cut and color and the stylists didn't listen to a thing I told them. I also got an appt. the very day I called, which was a great plus. The atmosphere is relaxing with a nice staff. Highly Recommended. Pros: Reasonable Pricing, Good Parking , Qualified Staff Cons: Small Salon more

The best salon 7/27/2005

Mode is the best salon I've been to. I've had my hair done at this salon for several years now and had everything from hair extensions to coloring. Each time, I got exactly what I asked for, the best. After having such bad luck with other hair salons, Mode's master stylist was able to fix their mistakes and make my hair look and feel the best it could possibly be. I couldn't ask for better service. more

This salon is great, it is very relaxing and the master stylist is awsome. I am a very picky person and in the past I have had some bad experiences with extentions. Mode is definately one of the most fun and creative hair salons in town! The decor is trendy yet classy, and the salon staff couldn't be nicer! Everyone is extremely professional and they still manage to relate well to their clients! All of the stylists listen to what their clients have to say, and together they come up with a haircut that suits both the persons' personality as well as that persons' overall look! When you come from out of town, you are almost scared to try a new salon, but in this case, I could not have made a better choice and believe me I had made some bad ones. My first visit to Mode was exactly what I was looking for, the right atmosphere, the right stylist, the right price and at Mode, I received it all, the quality of not just hair care but total body care has been extremly satisfying and I would highly recommend the salon to all and by the way that means everybody. Come here if you want quality and friendly 6/21/2005

I first came to this salon with a horrid haircut from another facility and Rhonda saved me!! I have recommended SEVERAL of my friends and family who are also satisfied. Rhonda is very professional and truly cares about her clients. For the kind of service provided, I think the $45 charge is amazing. I have looked at other salons for the same kind of cut would cost me upwards of $75. She has done extensions and highlights for myself and my daughter and has always done a fabulous job!! more
