Moda Alterations & Embroidery

Whether it is a pair of jeans that need altering or a gown for an event, I wouldn't trust my clothes to anyone else. The gowns are altered to fit as if they were created soely for me. They are friendly and very professional. The turn around time is always convenient. Better yet, they even do monogramming. more

Everyone at Moda is polite and they work they have done for me so far is very good. The pricing isn't super low, but you get what you pay for. In this instance, I think the price is not extravagant, although like I said it is not the cheapest. But you get great tailoring, so it's worth it.\r \r My only criticism of this shop is that they are not always on time. I once had a large order of clothes to be tailored and they told me it'd be done in one week. I came back one week later, but the clothes weren't ready. In fact they asked me to come back in another week! Luckily I didn't need any of my clothes immediately. They did not offer any type of discount for the late clothes.\r \r From now on, I'm going to call and confirm that my clothes will be ready the day before pickup. That way they will be reminded and know that I expect them to stay on schedule. I would suggest going to Moda so long as you are either flexible with the return date or if are willing to call and confirm pick up dates. \r \r Overall I really like this place, and am very happy with the clothes I've recieved. I have lived all over the world including Hong Kong the so called Mecca of Alteration/Tailoring...and I have never come across the talent of Moda Alterations. It feels like you have just walked into an old world Russian storefront and are visiting with some friends. I have brought them suits, coats, pants, shirts--u name it? And on a few I walked away wondering ""is that even possible?"" And each time I was pleasantly surprised! Even on the one occasion where the length wasn't where I preferred it--they eagerly adjusted it in a timely fashion! Three cheers for Helena and her husband and the rest of the Moda crew! They can make anything fit right!! Pros: Amazing talent to Alter any garment to fit! Cons: Cash Only--but worth the short walk to the ATM more
