Best

Last week I dined at Mochica with about 5 of my counterparts. I had never heard of this restuarant before, even though I work just a few blocks away. I was very impressed. Pull...

Worst

We decided to go to this restaurant because of the good quality food advertised in their website. Pros: Seaed promptly Cons: Too spicy and tastes nothing like Peruvian food

In Love with Mochica 1/9/2005

Is it possible to be in love with a restaurant? When you arrive, Mochica begins to court your heart at the door. Whoever decorated understood that the wonderful food of Peru has too much personality to be served in modern minimalism. The decor is both warm and sophisticated. Its so refreshing to get value out of my dollar these days. The price is very fair, the portions generous, and the food outstanding. I've tasted a good third of the menu and can say Mochica has definitely won my heart through my stomach. Pros: GREAT food, fair price , nice interior more

Great and satisfying food 8/17/2004

We ate here when they first opened and just thought it was OK. Went back now that they're all settled, and were pleasantly surprised. The ceviches are good, so is the sangria. The seafood dishes are really good. Nice/warm atmosphere. Pros: Good food, cozy more

Great hours, average food 2/5/2004

We went there after hours. There were only 2 other tables of people eating there which I found weird. The service was pleasant and the food was OK. It had some of the sandwiches, burgers and entrees you might find on a Denny's menu but at a higher price (to my surprise). For what we got and the price we paid, we'll probably stick to going to the Jack in the Box drive through on the way home instead. Pros: late hours, no wait Cons: , mediocre food more

Outstanding! 8/11/2003

With a new chef (Summer 2003), this place is terrific in a number of ways. In a neighborhood still underserved by decent restaurants (SOMA), this one is open 24 hrs on weekends. Had a fantastic hamburger & fries at lunch. With two friends, ordered all three of the dinner entrees (yes, the dinner menu. like the resturant, is rather small). All three of those dinners were exceptional in flavor and presentation. Staff is attentive, and seem genuinely grateful to welcome and serve you. Pros: food, service, open 24/hrs on wkends more
