Fresh flavors and great ambiance! 8/12/2007

I've been two Mizune two times now, once for lunch and once for dinner and both experiences were very good. Since it is summer time we enjoyed sitting outside both times, the outdoor ambiance is very pleasant nessled between two old red brick buildings. The service we received was very good and the food was also good. At lunch I had the Mahi mahi fish tacos, the flavor was great my only criticism was that they were difficult to eat and I would have preferred the fish divided up a little more. For dinner I had the Idaho trout - it was very very good!!!! They also had live music on the patio the night we were there for dinner. Overall I would place Mizuna as one of my top three restaurants in Spokane. Pros: Fresh, healthy flavors, good value for what you get Cons: None from me more

Wonderful 2/7/2006

I love Mizuna. They have some of the best food in Spokane. I always try to go there when in town. It is right downtown and within walking distance from most of the hotels. more

Awesome Ambience!! Delicious Food! 12/26/2005

Gorgeous ambience. Really adorable restaurant. Chairs were a little uncomfortable, but I really enjoyed the experience. Food was delicious. Had scallops that were so tasty!!! Everything was awesome. The only thing I could complain about was the service. Hostess was grouchy and had an attitude. Our waiter was hilarious but served our soup and salad before our appetizer arrived. The bartender cleaned our table and got us more drinks...I think he forgot. Paid for our drinks though because of the mishap. Overall - awesome...but would get rid of the very tall, grouchy hostess. Pros: Ambience, Delicious Food, Romantic Cons: Uncomfortable Chairs, Parking, Bad Attitude Hostess more

Fine Dining! 12/11/2004

The food is delectable, the wait staff is delightful and the atmosphere is sensuous! They serve non-vegetarian food as well. I had the hormone free steak! It was the most delightful and flavorful steak I have had in years! Pros: Romantic, Ambiance, Proportions more

Great Grubs! 2/6/2003

This place is one of the best eats in Spokane. They specialize in vegetarian food. I always think I need some meat on my plate. I'll tell you though when you eat here the meals are great, even without meat in them. The only problem is when it is open... The food is exquisite and the service is always just right. Their schedule though is so quirky that after a couple years I still can't figure out what day's/times they will be open (it goes something like open for lunch, then closed till later, then open on some days and closed on others - you never can tell...). If you are lucky enough to catch them when they are open though the food is great. Pros: Great food, Vegetarian Cons: A bit hard to find, Closed alot more

A dining experience! 5/21/2002

This is a place to go if you want to dine out - it's an experience, not a place to grab food. Although good food is important to a restaurant - it's not everything Light and airy, the decor proves the simple is the most elegant. The staff is NOT overly solicitous - You can actually hold a conversation without being interupted every 10 seconds. The atmosphere is adult - it's a place to enjoy other's company and have a nice evening. The food is wonderfully prepared and delicious. It's light, yet filling and wonderful to explore. more
