If you want to get together with friends, and don't just want to sit in a restaurant I can highly recommend this place. It's so much fun. You pick out a piece of pottery (plate, bowl, etc.), and paint it - in your own design. Then they fire it and you pick it up a few days later. It's a great thing for a small group to do. I've also seen some teenage birthday parties take place here. The place is packed on a weekend, so you need to make a reservation more

Great afternoon fun 8/14/2005

Petroglyph is an awesome place to go with the kids, girl friends, or for a pottery painting party. The shop provides unfinished pieces and you sit there, designing, creating, painting to your heart's desire. I've made plates, vases, little animals, cups...they have almost anything you could possibly want. After you finish painting your piece, you have to wait several days to a week for them to glaze and fire it for you. Make sure to call ahead and make reservations. more
