Looking forward to returning 10/16/2008

I've been a patient of Dr. Mitchell's since 2003. My mother was a patient of hers when she recommended her to me. Dr. Mitchell contributed immensely to my mother's quality of life for which my sisters and I are very grateful. Chiropractic adjustments have made it possible for me to be pain-free without resorting to harmful medications. The original course of treatment lasted over several months, beginning with four days weekly and was reduced to once weekly as my condition was corrected. As I've grown older, age-related conditions have developed; therefore, I've voluntarily chosen chiropractic care once or twice a week for maintenance purposes.\r \r The entire expense of chiropractic treatments and any associated muscular/skeletal physical therapy since 2003 was entirely out of my pocket as my insurance did not cover chiropractic and physical therapy. Living in pain and harmful medications including over the counter products were not options nor are they now if the cause of the pain can be avoided or corrected by maintenance chiropractic treatments. Most conditions cannot be corrected with one or two chiropractic treatments as the conditions did not develop overnight! Some conditions are genetic and treatment-ongoing.\r \r Due to family health problems, I've been away from Bloomington for a few months. During this time, I've gone to 4 or 5 chiropractors (including one who has adjusted famous figure skaters) in an attempt to find a chiropractor who can fill Dr. Mitchell's shoes---I'm still looking! I look forward to being able to return to Dr. Mitchell's care! Pros: parking right outside the door; cost is comparable to others; tries to have hours that will fit everyone's schedule; hardly EVER wait more than 5 minutes more

Mitchell Family Chiropractic is the best! 10/16/2008

Mitchell Family Chiro is the best. I've been to several other chiro's over the years and she and her staff have it completely together in all areas. Her prices are in line; if you need to ask questions, they take time to talk; she puts the face to the name and remembers who you are, what you and your family are about; and, most importantly, she stays ""on top"" of the latest (goes to seminars at least twice yearly I believe). As to ""Not for Me"", I don't think she had ever been to a chiropractor because the 3 times a week for 4 months is not excessive, depending on one's condition. And if ""Not"" required 3 x/week, I'ma thinkin' she was in pretty bad condition and, no, one adjustment whether ProAdjuster or manual, would not have given her complete relief from all of her symptoms. If the cut's deep enough to require a bandaid, you use more than one bandaid. There's always gotta be one bad apple in the basket. more

Great patient care 10/16/2008

My family and I love Mitchell Family Chiropractic. Dr. Mitchell is one of the sweetest doctors. My little girls love her and always ask when we get to go back. We get great care and feel that the staff is very friendly. They actually get to know you and your family. I would definitely recomend Mitchell Chiropractic. We wouldnt go anywhere else. more

Not for me 1/9/2008

I do not want to bad talk Dr. Mitchell because she seemed like a very sweet woman, however, I felt very disappointed with my service and felt like I was looked at as a piggy bank. The only thing used on me was that stupid pro-adjuster machine. I'm sure it helps some people but my biggest problem, a pelvic torsion, was not at all helped by it. When I went there I was waiting about 20 minutes to get a 30 second procedure done that I felt was very rushed. Not only that, but then they automatically schedule you like 3 days a week for the next 4 months, which I felt was ridiculous. Who has time to do that? Not me. Also, when she found out I had X amount to spend for my yearly insurance before I had to pay anything out of pocket, she acted as if I was going to use up the entire $2,000 just on her ridiculous adjustments! That is an insurance that my husband and I both share and use for other doctors visits as well, so I was a little offended.\r \r Like I said, she seems like a nice person and other people may have good results but I did not. Pros: Friendly, Nice Cons: Not effective, price more
