One of the best meals of my LIFE was at Mistral... a former office holiday dinner in the wine room. But that is not what this review is about. This review is about the best meal o...

My boyfriend and I went here for a romantic dinner. It was a total disappointment from start to finish. The valet service was nice, however. We ordered our dinner and literally...

My favorite restaurant for 5 years!!! 5/29/2006

Mistral is the best restaurant overall I have been to ever since I came to the U.S. which is 9 years now. I have lived in many places, but have spent my last 5 years in Boston, while still travelling to other places (N.Y., Las Vegas etc.). Mistral is my favorite restaurant. Out of all the times I have gone, there has not been one time that I have not been happy leaving the restaurant. Food, service, atmosphere, ambience, crowd, you name it, everything is simply great. I highly recommend it; Also, try going just for a drink and their famous pizza at the bar! Pros: Food/Service, Atmosphere, Everything more

From a guy that fine dines a lot 4/7/2006

Mistral really is the true leader of fine dinning in Boston. The Radius management really ought to dine there for some serious service, food & beverage tips. The whole black fish entree & mixed salad were done to perfection & the gin & tonics were perfect. The deserts were a very special treat. Pros: entree & desert, mixed drinks, nice bathroom more

One of the Best 2/23/2006

Mistral is one of the best restaurants Boston has to offer. The food is phenomenal, the drinks are fabulous and the service is top notch. This is a very hip & busy spot. It's always jumping at dinner & the weekends. Bring the platinum AMEX & go big. If you're looking to save a buck, go to Fanueil Hall. It can get noisy once the drinks are flowing & the chatter builds up, but that's no reason not to check it out. It's a very lively place. The bar is busy & has a great menu of it's own. Def try the pizza. Either way, you will leave there satisfied. Pros: lively, food, trendy more

Nice Neighborhood Retreat 1/17/2006

Go no further than the bar. The bar menu is better than the dining room menu, which is always too heavy and rich. Love the pizza and the burger, they are a great deal and the best Boston has to offer! Pros: food, bar service Cons: crowds, female hostess more

Hipper and Sexier ... 11/5/2005

From the exotic, spaghetti-strap-wearing hostesses to the upscale patrons, you know you've entered one of Boston's hippest and sexiest eateries. But there's more to Mistral than eye candy. The menu is inventive, the food exquisite and the service attentive. However, don't expect a quiet, romantic dinner. Dining at Mistral is akin to noshing on the Mass. Pike during rush hour. The place is beyond noisy! The fact that the tables are the size of cocktail napkins helps very little. Meaningful, nuanced conversation is impossible. And, if you're on a budget, you may want to consider other options. Our dinner for four, including two $50 bottles of wine, four appetizers, two desserts and tip, logged in at just under $500. All in all, if you're planning a special occasion and/or you have the coin, Mistral is worth consideration. The bar at Mistral was dynamic as well. Don't forget your spaghetti straps! Pros: Exquisite Cuisine, Attentive Service, Upscale Crowd Cons: Expen$ive, LOUD!!, Tiny Tables more

yak yak YAK! 9/15/2005

Everything was great, especially the food. Beautiful presentation, etc. BUT, the clatter & noise was ridiculous. This is definitely NOT a good choice for romance. We could hear 10+ conversations at all times, depending on the volume of the person speaking. Of course, everyone is speaking loudly because NO ONE CAN HEAR EACH OTHER. Great place for a work group (you can smile & pretend to listen while actually listening to your choice of other tables!), which was likely the makeup of the majority of tables last night. Perhaps Sat night is different..... Pros: Delicious, Excellent service, Beautiful food presen Cons: NOI more

Good 9/5/2005

Upscale. Tasty. Proper attire. Nice Bar. Local hot shot spot. Food is good, as well as atmosphere. When I am in a mood to wear suite I go to Mistral. Nice girls at the bar(sometimes). I wish they would stop letting Matt Damon inside in baseball hat & t-shirt.:) Pros: food, bar more

Excellent Restaurant 7/27/2005

I've only been twice but I have to say it is one of our favorite places in Boston. My husband is in the industry and agrees whole-heartedly. Our friend who is also in the industry gave us a gift certicate as a wedding gift and we can't wait to use it. Great atmosphere, great food, great drinks -- what more can you ask for? Our reccommendation - start off with one of the pizzas as an app - delicious! The filet practically melts in your mouth! Pros: excellent food, excellent service, beautiful atmospher Cons: pricey more
