From the exotic, spaghetti-strap-wearing hostesses to the upscale patrons, you know you've entered one of Boston's hippest and sexiest eateries. But there's more to Mistral than eye candy. The menu is inventive, the food exquisite and the service attentive. However, don't expect a quiet, romantic dinner. Dining at Mistral is akin to noshing on the Mass. Pike during rush hour. The place is beyond noisy! The fact that the tables are the size of cocktail napkins helps very little. Meaningful, nuanced conversation is impossible. And, if you're on a budget, you may want to consider other options. Our dinner for four, including two $50 bottles of wine, four appetizers, two desserts and tip, logged in at just under $500. All in all, if you're planning a special occasion and/or you have the coin, Mistral is worth consideration. The bar at Mistral was dynamic as well. Don't forget your spaghetti straps!
Pros: Exquisite Cuisine, Attentive Service, Upscale Crowd
Cons: Expen$ive, LOUD!!, Tiny Tables
