Mister Quik Electric

Great company!\r I was hesitant after seeing previous reviews. What they all had in common was that obviously they all knew too much about the services. They are obviously posing as customers. The other thing I noticed was that they complained about the price only. Here is my experience:\r I called 3 electricians.\r 1 was late.\r 1 was on time but shady and smelly.\r 1 was Mr. Quik.\r \r The late one quoted $300\r The smelly one quoted $180\r Mr. Quik quoted $650\r \r I have no problem paying more for a company presence that is customer service oriented. I did not trust that the other 2 would ever answer my phone call if I had an issue. That peace of mind is worth it to me.\r And I was well aware of the service call. Anyone that is not should read and listen better. more

The worst service experience ever. Mr. Quik has now been out a total of 10 times and my outdoor lighting STILL ISN'T WORKING!!! I spent $6000++ to have this installed and it never worked properly. In addition, what electrician wires a transformer incorrect?? Their poor work caused a fire in the box. Let's just say I have contacted my legal counsel. They are a complete rip off and when I asked if the guy was a ""certified electrician""...he said NO!!! Do not call Mr. Quik for your electrical repairs or service. You will be sorry! more

Had an outlet spark in the middle of the night. Dave, the electrician came out very quickly and was so friendly. He explained everything thoroughly and offered me a quote on paper before any work actually began. Pros: null Cons: null more

I've been having a problem with some of the lights in our house. We have had two other electricians out with charged around $200 each to "fix" the problem but it kept happening. The guy from Mister Quik came out and showed me that the part the breaker attached to was actually burnt. It ended up costing more than i was expecting (about $2000!!) but it fixed the problem. I wish I hadn't wasted my money with the first two people and just called someone who would get to the bottom of the problem. It did cost more than i thought it would but it was well worth the money. Warning!!! My water pump went out, Mr. quick shows up on time, gives me a quote to replace it for $2700. I laughed, went to Rural King and bought the pump and fittings for less than $300 and had it working in less than an hour. Beware of the rip off being attempted against senior citizens. more

Was replacing a toilet and basically just didn't want to do it. The last toilet I had professionally replaced for $100 (in another state) because REPLACING A TOILET IS EASY! I had the thought process that if I could get a quote for something close to that than it would just be worth it to me to have someone else do it for me. So Mister Quick tells my wife that they can't give you a quote over the phone, but that it's a $69 service call fee and then they will give you the quote. Again, thinking that I already bought the new toilet and the fact that it was a 40 minute job, that it wouldn't be too bad and again it would be just another thing I didn't have to deal with. In less than 2 minutes he tells me that it will be over $260 plus the service fee, to which l laughed and thought he misread something. He said "well if you hadn't bought that toilet already it would have been almost $700." Wow, what a deal for me considering that same toilet only cost me $100 at Menard's. So now I'm short $70 and stuck replacing the damn toilet. I'm so glad I left work early today to be home so Mister Quick could rip me off and waste my time. STAY AWAY! more

I wish I could rate this company with a middle finger instead of a star... I requested Mister Quik provide me with an estimate to install a new electrical circuit on my patio. The lady on the phone was friendly and nice. They guy who showed up was friendly and nice. But, the guy was examining parts of my electrical system that had nothing to do with the job at hand, such as opening the garage electrical panel, but not the sub panel where the line would be terminated. He made a big deal about the main panel. In the end, I got a quote for $1850 (this is for running a single wire about 25 feet, and having to drill 1 hole through wood. Then he slides an $69 "service fee" invoice across the table for "examining my electrical panel" -- it became obvious the entire inspection is just a scam so they can say they made a service call. There was never any mention, at any time about charging for the quote. I called a regular electrician who came over and did the work to my satisfaction for $175, and he didn't charge me for the $200 estimate. Mister Quik is a scam. more

I would have given a no star rating if I could. The rep that took my call was nice and helpful, the tech that cam out was also nice and prompt. He told me everything was off a price guide... I wanted a 12 inch long gas line removed and plugged off, thier price $439, actual repair price to have it done by another plumber that same day $75 Also to install a T fitting under my sink so my ice maker line had a place to hook up, thier price $240 actual repair price to have it done the same day $25. They still wanted thier $69 for coming out. So did we learn something today? Yes we did stick with a local plumber and not get ripped off . more

A failed switch caused a complete power failure-so call Mr Quik-and they were; as well as courteous.Very nice call staff and technician.But policy comes from the top management. The tech zeroed in on the breaker box and no further,then morphed into "Mr.Quote" ,a new $2,800. replacement was the solution - NOT! Mr.Quik is one of many companys that put replace ,promotion & profit far above repair,profession & people;sad. The solution was to call Advance Electric, who in less time,went beyond (think outside the box) the breaker box, repairing the switch and remedied the problem $150. I thank Advance for doing what was right ,not what was easy. more

I was very pleased by the promptness of scheduling the appointment to the very professional technician that provided the service. I didn't feel taken advantage of like I have with other service providers. It was two weeks before Christmas and he understood that money was an issue. more
