I love coming to art class, y only regret is that I started at such a late age! They are no nonsense when it comes to teaching tus, there is no ""if it feels good then do it"" nonsense here, they will teach you the exact fundamentals and basics for both drawing and painting and make you drill it over and over until you can do it. The teachers are really good and they always play such relaxing music there, it makes all the stress from my week evaporate just to walk in and pick up where i left off more

My 5 year old son is taking art classes at Larry Gluck Mission Renaissance. The studio instructors teach the Gluck method of art education, which begins with basic line drawing and proceeds to more challenging levels of drawing and painting. The method stresses that anyone can learn to draw and paint and that talent can be developed. The caring and highly trained instructors individually teache each child the ABCs of art. Students, as young as 5, begin gaining a solid foundation in drawing techniques. Using a charcoal pencil and pastels, students learn to build a drawing through the use of simple shapes and how to create colorful, 3-dimensional effects, resulting in their finished work looking life-like. This place is truely incredible my son loves it and looks foward to art class every week. more
