Mission Pet Mart

I would not recommend Mission Pet Mart. We took our golden retriever there to be groomed. He came back ungroomed because he was scared of the clippers. I did not get a call about this, yet I was still charged because they ""bathed and brushed"" him. They kept him from 8:30 until 4:30 for a bath. When I picked him up, he also appeared to have not been let out. I would recommend taking your elsewhere. more

I was sold dead snails. I placed them in my tank thinking they were alive once I realized they were dead went to return them and the owner/ manager was a complete jerk he rolled his eyes at me several times. The snails contaminated my tank and infected my other pets. In general the store itself is very unkempt (dirty).. as you can tell by not knowing if their stock of animals are alive or dead. In my opinion this doesn't even deserve an "eh" of a rating. but I'm required to put one and that is as low as it goes more

Rebekah is great with dogs and their owners. My dog really looks forward to going here. It's obvious that the daycare staff really love the dogs and taking care of them. I can't say enough wonderful things about Rebekah. She always sends home a daily progress report on my dog. The first time I went to check on the place, she gave me a tour and answered all of my questions. Pros: The lady who runs the daycare, Rebekah, is fantastic! Cons: The dogs can't go outside at all. more

I am new here and went to this store for the first time yesterday.I liked the location and found the people helpful without being overbearing. I was allowed to take my dog in and even signed him up for daycare-his first time ever was today and I got a progress report at the end of the day. He came home and slept and i plan to go back. ok first they have moved so its actually 6900 Martway (NW corner of Martway and Broadmoor) and i was really impressed. The store was neat and clean. The salespeople had obvious knowledge and a willingness to help. After getting my dog groomed there i was so impressed i asked about boarding and their new daycare, to be plesantly surprised again to meet Rebecca who was fun, knew alot, took the time to give me a tour and answered all my questions. I only shop there now and use them for boarding and grooming. I just started taking my toby there for daycare and he's already better on walks, with other people and dogs, and at home. GO HERE!!! And thank you, thank you, thank you to them!! Pros: the way they take care of my dog, all the stuff they know Cons: um...the tarantulas?? (ha!) more

I walked in the store and was a little sceptical, but everything I needed was there, and easy to find, multiple employees were always willing to help me and one young girl whose name I couldn't pronounce (sorry) gave me the best advice. thank you. more

This is one of the oldest in KC area and isn't too bad. The prices can be kinda high for Equipment. It is a small shop but I never noticed it smelling and I have a sensitive nose. The price you pay for is the fact they have alot of the more popular stuff stocked but I do wish they would not mark up so high. But if you look around all stores are high except for Fish World whose equipment prices are almost mail order. Pros: A lot of strange stuff in stock for the Reef Tank Cons: Not always a knowledgable person there and kinda uncomfortable people more

I found this store to have a good variety of supplies and the people friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about pets and their needs. Prices are fair and competitive. If anyone thinks the prices are high at this store, needs to shop around. more
