Great vets and staff 8/25/2011

I have been taking my animals to Mission Animal Clinic for over 16 years. I usually see Dr. Erickson, and I have always been very satisfied with the care he has given to my babies. He usually offers me all my treatment options, and then I decide which way to go. I think the prices there are very reasonable. The staff is very compassionate and very helpful. I think it is also very nice that Dr. Erickson calls to check on my babies. I would highly recommend Mission Animal Clinic. more

Bring alot of cash with you. Be careful will do alot of tests that are not needed..... Will treat u right but for a PRICE. more

Highly recommend 1/5/2011

We've been using Russ Erickson and Mission Animal Clinic for 20+ years. Really great people. Russ even came into the clinic on a Sunday when our border collie couldn't stand up on his own. Russ gave us great advice and we managed to keep our old dog around for another year. Highly recommend them. more

Super Vets, Staff & Service - compassion & education reign! 9/24/2009

For the past few years I've taken my two (now three) cats to both Drs. Russ Erickson & Heath Brown. The staff and vets are compassionate and skilled, offering a slate of options v. cramming a plethora of services onto the bill. This staff is all-about educating the pet owner. These are my first cats, and they've been incredibly helpful. Recently I rescued a less-than two pound 12 week old kitten from my parking lot. "Moe" was pathetic, and when I scooped him up and called, Dr. Erickson saw Moe immediately. I thought Moe was a goner, but the staff treated him, cleaned him up, and performed a great save! Thus, the staff at Mission have added to the quality of life in our home. p.s. Mission Animal Clinic is NOT the upscale Mission MedVet clinic which is close-by. Mission Animal Clinic is a comfortable, non-extravagant home-town clinic. I'd recommend Mission Animal Clinic to anyone! more

Great Service at an Affordable Price 1/23/2009

I'm very pleased with the services Mission Animal Clinic has provided for my family over the years. We've been taking our pets there for over 16 years now. The staff has always been very warm and welcoming to us. The doctors are all very knowledgeable when dealing with our "furry friends." I'm also very pleased with their competitive prices. I've had friends who have gone to other animal clinics and are always complaining about the cost, so I've recommended Mission Animal Clinic to several friends and family members over the years, and they all seem very pleased with them as well. So, if you're looking for a great vet to take your pets to, I would highly recommend giving them a try. more

Highly recommended 11/25/2008

We have taken our animals (rats, rabbits, guinea pigs and dogs) to Mission Animal Clinic for 12+ years. The three vets have always been kind, thorough, and very helpful. There is no pressure/guilt for high price procedures. They get back with you quickly on lab results and frequently call to follow up on an animal they've recently treated. more

The Best Vets in KC are here! Very Reasonable Price 10/7/2008

I used Mission Animal Vets (all 3 of them) from 1988-2001. They took care of the 2 best friends I had from the cradle to the grave (Barney & Crissy RIP). I got another dog about 6 months later. Because I wanted to have a vet closer to me I did not go back to Mission Animal. I regret that decision. The 2 places up North that I used were either very cold and/or pricey. The staff at Mission Animal always treated me and my pets as family. They were very reasonable with their charges too. If I ever move back to Kansas I will go back to Mission Animal. I refer ALL my Kansas pet owner friends to them and they are all very happy. \r REVIEWERS: Make sure you have the correct business BEFORE you submit a review. more

Great vets, great care and affordable! 11/15/2007

I've been taking my pets to Mission Animal Clinic for over ten years now. I agree, the staff is very compassionate and helpful. A few years ago, one of my dogs had major surgery. It's a long story but unfortunately a few weeks after the surgery, she had an allergic reaction to antibiotics and subsequently had to be put down. However, it didn't have anything to do with the how she was cared for at Mission Animal Clinic, it was just one of those "freak" things. Dr. Brown was very nice. He called to give his condolences and they even sent a sympathy card! I live about 30 miles away and have a couple vets in my area but these folks are wonderful so it's worth the drive. more

Great vets 10/25/2007

My husband, mother-in-law, and her sister have used these vets since they opened -- caring for animals from cats to dogs to you name it. When I received my kitten (now 13 years old), my husband recommended them and I've been there since. Very reasonably priced. Compassionate. more

REviews are confused 10/10/2007

Please understand MOST of the reviews that this site has are people confused with Mission MedVET. THEY are not anywhere near the same. Mission Animal is AWSOME! Mission MedVvet is the EMERGENCY clinic that will save your pet after hours that is a VERY VERY Expensive place. If you value your pet you will save them. The Doctors at Mission Animal are Truly pet lovers theyall have great stories about their pets and children. Wonderful dedicated staff Marcus and nancy more

Terrific Vet! 9/3/2007

I have taken my pets to Mission Animal Clinic for 6 years and have stayed with them after moving 20 miles away 5 years ago. Our pets have seen Dr. Brown and he is always very thorough, follows up with you when needed, explains things well, and is just an overall great vet. Don't confuse this practice with MedVet, which is great if your pet is getting some complicated surgery or treatment. I have recommended Mission Animal Clinic and will continue to do so. more

Our ONLY choice for Vet care... 7/16/2007

Mission Animal Clinic is the little clinic with the big heart! whether it's a scheduled appt, a spur of the moment call/walk-in, or an emergency, i can't think of any place else that i would want to take my furr-babies. the staff are wonderful, from the receptionist to the doctors, they all treat their patients with the utmost care and kindness. i would recommend Mission Animal Clinic to EVERYBODY! more

Big Confusion going on with the first three Reviews. 6/29/2006

By the looks of all the comments of expensive pricing and fancy digs, I believe everyone is confusing Mission Animal CLINIC with Mission MEDVET. Mission Animal Clinic is a small, modest, almost SHACK of an office that is extremely affordable which is up the street from Mission Medvet. Mission MedVet is a full scale animal emergency room & hospital with a full staff of specialist and in deed, resides out of a very fancy building with a beautiful aquarium. They are good, but very costly. I've been going to Mission Animal Clinic for years & they have always been reasonable with cost & have taken excellent care of our pets. Since I have been to both places, I am certain that there is some confusion from the 1st three posts. more

Great Place for Pets! 11/3/2005

This clinic is a wonderful, inviting, albeit very fancy looking building. (Almost too fancy to take animals in to!) The doctors are kind and knowledgable and they have a full service pet supply store for all of your pet needs. The downside to this clinic is that everything, and I do mean absolutely everything, is outrageously expensive, from the cat food to the routine shots to the major surgery. If you only want the very best money can buy, this is it, but if your Fido doesn't care, look elsewhere. more

Great CARE! 7/26/2005

They took wonderful care of my puppy and kitten when we had to get them fix. Though I am sure my animals would tell you differently! The vets were all very kind, and we used this vet when we lived in KS. Great care! more

Quality care, VERY expensive 7/18/2005

We took our very ill dog there, and they took great care of him, but at a huge expense. I guess we were paying for the large salt water aquarium, and multiple family studio pictures throughout the hospital. I needed to refinance my house after this one! Good care though. more
