This was my daughter's first experience with dance class. Miss Hollys proved to be very positive. Staff is very friendly and personable, particularly Miss Holly and Marybeth. They were both very helpful. The instructors were all very good and professional. I chose Miss Hollys based on a friends recommendation and was not disappointed. I like the way they do not push competition and are very fair giving each girl attention and help. My daughter, age 7, loved it and plans to continue with Miss Holly. Pros: everything else. I've been hearing some very negative things about Miss Holly's Dance Studio and I must say they are very wrong. I've been dancing there for 10 years and have tried many other studios, and I must say this is by far the best one I've been to. It is a very profesional and fun studio, unlike other studios that strive for perfect and won't allow anything less, Miss Holly's doesn't work us until we do things that we wouldn't do. Pros: teachers, dancers, atmosphere, the studio. Cons: the vending machine sometimes doesn't work more

Miss Holly's Dance Studio is located off Milltown Road in Verona, but a large percentage of their students are from nearby Plum Borough and Penn Hills neighborhoods and the studio was voted best Dance Studio by Plum Advance Reader newspaper in 2004. Miss Holly is one of the most personable women I've ever met and she genuinely loves every student in her studio and knows everyone by their first name. She is so knowledgable, experienced, and patient. The other instructors are also young women that are patient and work hard to ensure that each girl receives individualized attention. One of this studio's best features is that there aren't any competition teams which allows the instructors to focus on teaching correct dance techniques. The absence of competitive teams also allows for the relaxed environment of the studio where it is also emphasized that the students have fun in addition to developing their dance and gymnastics skills. I also find that there is an issue of favortism in studios with competitive teams and I can honestly say you won't find that at this studio. My daughter went from being a very shy withdrawn girl to someone who loves dance. Miss Holly's offers dance classes for every experience level which include preschool creative movement, combination, tumbling/gymnastics, jazz, tap, ballet, pointe, lyrical, and modern. Miss Holly's is located in it's own stand alone building as opposed to a suite within an office plaza or shopping center like a lot of other dance studios. The rates are also reasonable. Other places will charge over $46/month for just 1 hour/week of instruction and Miss Holly's only charges $36/month for 1 hour/week of instruction. She offers candy fundraisers throughout the year which help discount the expense of recital costumes. An intensive summer gymnastics program is also offered which is very popular. I have nothing but accolades for this dance studio which is why word of mouth has made this studio so popular in this area. I love this dance studio. Plz dont make rude comments about it.My teachers are so personal and reach my needs.If u just give it a chance. miss hollys is completely unprofessional and i would not reccomnd it to anyone either. They do put on nice fronts but they are not nice at all. Its a shame anybody sends their daughters there. I wish i never had. Cons: the entire studio more

Miss hollys dance studio should be reported to the better bussiness bureau if you ask me. She is so unprofessional and sloppy, i cant tell who the dancers are compared to the teachers! They pick their favorites and treat others unfairly and rudely. On MANY occasions my daughter got costumes that were farrr from fitting and when we asked her secratary what happened she started flipping out and screaming and having a nasty little attitude. They speak of peoples finical matters in front of other customers. Honestly i should have sued her, her studio,and her secratary for slander. If they are wrong about something [bills ect] they will not admit it, they will just try and make up lies to make you look like a dead beat in front of other parents. Her secratary will get the other teachers to come down and help yell at you. Holly is the jazz teacher there, her dances are so herendous she should seriously be embrassed. She honestly has no clue how to run a bussiness, let alone dance and teach it! The way they treated my daughter was so disrespectful and nasty she had to quit. I would NOT RECCOMEND THIS STUDIO TO ANYBODY!!!!! stay far far away. They are nasty little hens down there who should be ashamed as much as they talk about being such good christians. They are the biggest bunch of lying, hypacritical bafoons i've ever met. They've completely embrassed my daughter and myself to the point of no return, when I nor my daughter have done anything wrong. This dance studio should be shut down.
