Miss Gloria's Angel Care

I've had my daughter at Miss Gloria's Angel Care since she was 12 weeks old. She is now 18 months old and is thriving in the thoughtful, caring and educational environment provided by MGAC's well-trained staff! Far too often, people take to these blog posts to vent negative perspectives or experiences and portray organizations in an unfair light while those of us who are greatly satisfied with the services provided to us sit idly by leaving our opinions unheard. For anyone looking for insight as to the care your child would receive at MGAC, I would encourage you to tour the facility and meet the staff firsthand before forming your own opinion. I will share that there's never been a day that I lacked trust in the capable hands caring for my child. I echo green567's comments about considering both sides of the stories and I confirm her perspective on the issues mentioned as my own. Furthermore, we have moved up in classes twice already and been very pleased with the communication that occurred prior to and after the change. To give more details, we even filled out paperwork in advance about our child's behavior and preferences prior to the move so that the move could be easier on her, as well as the new staff caring for her. Also, my daughter is still small, but I know that she has a wonderful time playing outside on the play equipment for her age group, and I've also noticed that the older kids aren't interested in the equipment anyway! They want room to run and play ball, etc.... and they have that in the large play areas at MGAC! Finally, when there have been times that I desired to speak with the director about questions or concerns, I have easily had those opportunities and felt satisfied with the professionalism of the communications that transpired. Overall, I think MGAC is a well-run day care with qualified staff who provide an excellent family-like atmosphere and I am grateful to have them caring for my child. There should be more day cares with staff as tight-knit and caring as this one. more

I have two children that attend Miss Gloria?s and my oldest has been there since 2006. It is a small daycare with a very caring staff. I would highly recommend this facility if you are looking for a small friendly place where you can feel comfortable leaving your children. In regards to the other comments, there was an instance where the daycare had to close one day because of too many staff being out with a virus. They had to close because they had to be in compliance with DHS regulations. Also, the director was harder to reach at times last year because her husband was very ill and passed away due to a terminal illness. Lastly, the playground equipment is old but my children have never complained about it. I prefer if people are going to write a complaint about something that they take all facts into consideration. It is always easier to hear just one side of the story but it is always better to hear both. Often I find you must put things into perspective and decide not to be mad about the trivial things and focus on the important; in this case it would be child safelty! more

There is absolutely no playground equipment and the little they have is old and dingy. The owner/director is never there and does not make herself accessible to parents and their concerns. I am however pleased with some of the teachers that i have had caring for my child. To sum it up, be prepared to have no notice of when your child will be moving up to other classes or be able to reach the director about your questions or concerns. The teachers for the most part are also in the dark about the goings on when it comes to new changes being made so discussing it with them is pointless. I have never felt my child was in any kind of unsafe enviornment but any time you have needs and concerns about your child that aren't being met in a timely fashion it will make you a little uneasy. more

I was left without daycare short notice and my daughter is a newborn. She started a few weeks ago and from the beginning I was very comfortable. The place is CLEAN the staff is great. My daughter is well taken care of. more

I would not send my children here, they don't keep commitments, and today the doors are closed due to being understaffed the sign says. Glad I have other options, I feel sorry for the parents that don't. I will be looking for another daycare that is more reliable and dependant more
