I attended Mira Costa in order to obtain my AA and complete all my general education requirements before enrolling in a 4-year university. This is a great thing to do if you need to save some money and/or live at home while going to school.
The teachers were decent for the most part and I did enjoy many of my courses. I thought the work load was reasonable as well.
If you do decide to go this route, it is important to be determined and have some sort of plan. Many of the people attend because they don't know what they want to do and end up spending eons there.
