It's rusty all right 2/18/2006

First of all we waited about 15 minutes before anyone came to our table. The service was ambivalent at best. We ordered the fish skewer appetizer which never materialized. Our actual entrees arrived after sitting in the kitchen for God knows how long. My husband had the macadamia mahi which was soggy and black in spots. I had a very dry seared ahi (how do you even pull that off with raw fish???). Although the waitress was told by the runner that she had forgotten our appetizer she pretended nothing happened and only acknowledged it when I told her to make sure it didn't show up on the bill. Boring atmosphere with a draft. I agree with the review suggesting the in & out next door...it would have surpassed this experience by far! more

Who said the garlic bread was great??? 12/6/2005

My wife and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary at the Rusty Pelican. They are remodeling their facility, so the part with the view is closed off, but the overall ambience was fantastic. Very romantic. The music, however, was malapropos for the venue - some kind of techno/disco/pop. We ordered the Pelican Pick (sampler), garlic bread, salmon and linguini. Excellent food and price overall, but the garlic bread was subpar. I think they used powder and butter on hotdog buns. Not sure what the other guy saw out of it. Overall, I give it two thumbs up, just don't order the garlic bread. Pros: Food (overall), Ambience Cons: Garlic bread, Temperature (cold) more

My friends and I went to this place and if you ask me is an ok place. Music is nice, food is good, kind of classy. Need to get together with your friends this is the place for dancing and good food. more

The Rusty Pelican was Great in every way! 2/10/2005

The service was excellent and very funny. The food was delicious, I tried a little bite of everone's dish. I did make reservations for a Friday night, but the place was not full. The atmosphere was very nice since it was amazingly quiet. No loud music or chatter. Very romantic setting and nice architechure. I highly regcommend. Our waiter overheard that it was my birthday and even brought me out a birthday ice cream cake with a candle and sang Happy Birthday to me! more

Fun Nught Out 2/10/2004

A hip new place to hang out on the weekends. Not only is there a beautiful new bar area, their food is incredible. Great for a night of drinks or a elegant dinner! Pros: food, bar, affordable more

best garlic bread ever 3/10/2003

The garlic bread is amazing as are the fish skewers, however the entrees were dissappointing and extremely overpriced. If you order the seared ahi, ask them to lay off the salt: it's practically inedible, although the fish itself is very fresh and high quality. In addition, the salads are not worth the money. Our waiter said the garlic bread was complimentary, but it wasnt. Pros: garlic bread, fish skewers, quality fish Cons: overpriced, no ambiance, lying waiter more

Pleasant surprise 1/11/2003

We have lived in Glendale for 3 years and have not noticed this Restaurant until last week. We decided to try try it tonight and were pleasantly surprised.. the food is great, the service is good, price is a little high for the location. We are planning to come back soon. Great Food !!!! 7/11/2002

I came to this place once to celebrate a birthday. The food was good and the serice was great. The price was kind of up there but it was worth it. The restaurant has a club next to it and if you love salsa, this is the place to be at. Its not to big, but, the atmosphere is cool. Anyway, I have not been there for a while, but, I will soon. more
