Best Thai food ever! Really.\r \r When ever I eat Thai food at another restaurant, I always compare it to Min's Kitchen. It's still the best. Food is fresh, and prices are very reasonable. \r \r Sure - the service can be slow. But, that's actually part of the charm! I'm happy not to be rushed - finally - in a restaurant. Other restaurants are interested in turnover - more diners, more dollars for the restaurant. Min's, however, is a local restaurant with old-fashioned value - the value of good food, good conversation and a relaxed atmosphere. \r \r I give Min's Kitchen the highest recommendation for all of these reasons. more

Good food bad service is right! 1/2/2010

I have to agree. The food is good, but the service is horrible. You have to wait so long for refills and if you have a question or need something, better to stand up for the waitress to actually come over.. Seems like they don't even care or maybe just always understaffed.. Pros: good food Cons: bad service more

GREAT food . . . BAD service 8/21/2008

The food tasted great, but the portions are somewhat on the small side. Now, I don't ask for much and am mostly content with what I have and try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but the woman serving my table was horrible. She always had a scowel on her face, constantly ignored my table, and it seemed she serviced tables better if she thought she was going to be tipped well, which really is a pitty, because I have been known to tip up to 30% based soley on service. (It also shows how one should never judge a book by its cover). I think I can say I get better service at the DMV!! In any case, the atmoshphere was cozy and I still marvel at how they managed to fit all those tables in there. I do recomend trying the food, because it is delicious, but only if you have a few (9-12) extra bucks to drop for small portions and bad service. Pros: Delicious Food Cons: Small portions and very bad service more

Terrific Thai Food in Hell's Kitchen 7/8/2008

After driving past this restaurant for years, I finally decided to go last weekend for lunch. Boy, was I missing out. I must say, the Thai food is better than Bobaworld/Noodle World. It's just more flavorful and the dishes really stand out. As for the service, the waitress was very friendly and gracious. The only problem was, she was the only person waiting on the entire dining room. I say dining room, because the restaurant looks sort of like someone's dining hall, with tables of four along the walls, and long tables in the middle of the room. They need new high chairs. Oh yes, it seemed like Chef Ramsay was barking up orders in the kitchen, and the one waitress (bless her heart) was running around in "Benny Hill" mode, trying to make everyone happy. Yes, the meal was pricey, the service was fair (amazing enough), but the food was so delish! Try the braised green beans and the House Special (egg noodles with duck). Go during off-peak hours to avoid the "Benny Hill" antics. Pros: Food, parking lot, flexible with spices Cons: Understaffed, pricey, antiquated high chairs more

It use to be good 9/12/2006

been a while since I've been to Min's. Went 9/13. Use to love it. Now, it's average. Portions are cut in half. I had to get my own napkins. Service was poor and we were the only ones there at the time. I make Pad Thai at home and mine is better. So disappointed Not worth the price $$ Pros: Could return to it's roots Cons: food is average service poor more

Excellent thai food :) best in the Foothills 6/22/2006

Min's - one of the best 5/4/2006

Excellent food - especially the green curry w/tofu or chicken. The spicy eggplant is to die for... I feel the prices are fair for the area and the quality of food. But, if money is an issue - see the lunch specials... they are a bargain more

Small portions 4/9/2006

The last reviewer is absolutely correct. Good food and nice ambiance, but tiny portions Pros: good food Cons: poor value more

SO GOOD!!! But..... 1/5/2006

The food here is fantastic, some of the best Thai I've had to be sure....However the portion are so small! It's unbelievable how chinsey the portion are, you get an ounce of cooked meat on half a pound of cabbage. My heart breaks every time I think of this place but I can't justify paying $9-$12 for an entree that is barely a portion for one, no matter how good the food. It's just silly, the noodle portions are a bit better and delectable none the less but one does not dine on noodles alone. So it is with a sad heart that I say, avoid this place...Unless you have money to burn and can order one entree per person of each item you desire. If not, you will leave there hungry...and $40+ dollars poorer. Pros: Great food Cons: Kate Moss portions, No value at all. more

Perfect Thai 8/7/2005

This is my absolute favorite Thai place. The food is phenomenal, the service is prompt and friendly, the ambiance is cozy and the prices are very reasonable. more

A hidden treasure 11/11/2002

Always very tasty... Very fresh food with a nice menu to choose from. Service is fast, but not rushed. Staff is very welcoming. Pros: Fresh ingredient, great tasting, very reasonable Cons: Small restaurant more

Excellent authentic Thai 7/10/2002

This cozy owner-operated restaurant is worth the drive to La Canada. Simply the best Thai I've had in So Cal. The wonton strips and sauce are wonderful. I had the yellow curry with chicken, potatos and carrots; a beautiful dish with large meat and vegetable chunks bathed in a subtle but spicy curry sauce. My girlfriend had the noodle special plate with vegetables and egg noodles. Both entrees were perfect and the service was prompt and friendly. Pros: Excellent food, Good location, Good service more
