Mineo's Wings, Pizza and Raw Bar

Just got back from our last visit to Mineo's. My wife and I used to go about once a month or so. This night was a busy Saturday night. We ordered and after 15 minutes, the waitress comes back and apologizes. She said she thought the meal was taking too long so she checked, and sure enough the kitchen lost our order. We were patient, though and waited 20 more minutes for our food. The waitress then gave us our bill for the full price. We asked if she could take anything off since they lost our order and we waited so long for food ( a party of 3 arrived after us and was finished their food and paying before we ever got our food). She asked the manager, who claimed it was because they were so busy that they lost our order, so it was somehow not their fault and we had to pay the full price. I asked to speak with the manager directly, and HE REFUSED TO COME OUT AND SPEAK WITH ME. I have never been so disrespected as a customer. The manager's name, I was told, is Sean. PLEASE DO NOT GO AND SUPPORT HIM OR HIS BUSINESS. If you want similar food, try BEEF O' BRADY'S or TIN ROOF 2 just up the road. more

My company lunch posse has searched hard for the bestp izza for lunch and this place is it right now. I recommend the pepperoni, double cheese pizza ... Also recommend getting 10 krypton wings with garlic ... the flavor is amazing (they are not very hot...so if you like hot, look for something else).\r \r Staff is friendly ... I've used restaurant coupons to various eateries for years without a problem.... until I visited Mineo's. I followed all of the terms and conditions of the coupon only to discover once I received my $45.00 + dinner check that Mineo's no longer accepts coupons. If I had known that they wouldn't honor their coupon I would have chosen a different pizzaria to celebrate my birthday at. To be fair, the food was good, although the tables were too small to hold a pizza while still having enough room to eat it. It will take a while to get your order, but it was served fresh and hot. I will NOT visit this establishment again. I believe all restaurants should accept their own coupons or verbally advise every customer prior to ordering. I've never encountered this experience from any restaurant prior to our Mineo's visit. One final note, it was cold in the restaurant, and I have difficulty enjoying a meal while wearing my coat. Mineo's is a small family owned restaurant/sportsbar on carothers pkwy, its a little hidden but once you discover it you will be hooked!! My family moved here from Buffalo 5 years ago and we found it impossible to get authentic N.Y style pizza. A co- worker of my husbands took him to Mineo's one day for lunch and he brought me that same night. There Pizza & Buffalo wings remind me of home. We met the owners (Peter & Jenn Mineo) and found out how they ended up in franklin, They moved here from south florida where he ran his fathers restaurant that has been around since 1981. The menu is very large with alot of choices so it can be difficult deciding what to order but every thing is great. My husband is a huge raw oyster fan so he always get oysters for an appetizer. Me and my daughter usually will split an antipasto salad. It is amazing! \r we always order the same thing pizza & wings. The key to a good pizza is the sauce & the crust. They make there dough fresh every day and all of there sauces including the wing sauces are homemade. the pizza sauce has the perfect consitency with just a hint of sweet. Just how i like it!! The wings you can get either Un breaded or breaded I like them un breaded my husband loves the breaded so we get an order of each. There food really is amazing and you can tell that it is fresh. I recommend this place to everyone. I think that is where all of there buisness comes from (word of mouth) since they dont do any advertising.
