I have 2 jobs that make me susceptible to back and neck problems. I spend a majority of my week days at a computer. On the weekends I play guitar and sing in a local rock band. The pressure from my guitar strap coupled with my poor sitting and standing posture developed a knot in my left levator scapula ( shoulder blade) that caused me a great deal of discomfort. The muscles in that area were always flexed and I could not relax them. This stress spread along the nerve line up to my neck and down my back.
After spending just 2 months with both Stephanie and Ray from Mind and Body Works, the issue has disappeared. We discovered that the cause of the issue was not only where I was feeling the most pain, but in other interconnected problem areas in my arms and other parts of my back. By working on these areas , and teaching me a few key stretches, Stephanie and Ray have eliminated the pain from my back and greatly improved my posture as well!
