Great Food & Dimi's So Funny!! 2/15/2010

This place is GREAT! When I first walked in I was thinking this place is dead & that's never a good sign! (But it was when they just opened for lunch, when the lunch rush came in the place was packed!) I ordered the Gyro Platter with oven potatoes & a Baklava for dessert , it was wonderful! We have been going there every since, I LOVE this place! There is so much good stuff to say about the food & people who work there its just better to try it for yourself! You won't be disappointed!!!! Pros: Amazing Food! Even My Kids Love The Food & Dimi! Cons: Food Is Addicting:-) more

Absolutely Wonderful! 1/21/2009

Not only was the Gyro delicious, but the side sald, seasoned oven fries AND dessert all exceeded my expectations. \r \r Don't judge this place by it's 'hole-in-the-wall' location. Seriously delicious food, great service, nice people and did I mention the yummy desserts? We will be going back often! Pros: Food, service, Price Cons: strip center location more

Best Gyros, Best Fries! 12/12/2007

This is a favorite for my co-workers and I. It is always good! I always get the same thing! The fries are seasoned with some kind of herb and is hand cut. They are great! The location is a little shady but nothing too scary. The food is worth it. I have never been for dinner but I hear the belly dancers are great. \r Its really small in there so huge groups will probably have trouble finding a table. But everyone should go! Pros: Fries! Gyros! Baklava(sp?) Cons: small place...but thats about it! more

Great first time Greek food experience 6/23/2007

Some co-workers convinced me to try this place as I never had Greek food before. I was very unfamiliar with the food of this culture but my co-workers helped me out by suggesting the lamb gyro for starters. I am not used to the taste of lamb, but it was interesting to say the least. Next time I will try the beef version. Dimi was hilarious! He always kept us laughing and made sure we were having a great time. There was a belly dancer that would go around and dance at each table, my co-workers got me to dance with her and I even took a picture with her! There was also a younger lady who attempted her first time belly dancing in front of the customers, which I thought was very cute! All in all, this a great introduction to Greek food for me and will come back and recommend to others. Pros: Great service, fun atmosphere Cons: Location more

This was a great place to go! 6/16/2007

My family and I have been here many times the food is great and Dimi is hilarious and he was great with our kids! It doesn?t look that great on the outside but once you step in you?re greeted with friendly people and wonderful food!\r Pros: Everything Cons: Lunch time it is very busy not alot of seats. (But that should tell you how great it is) more

Awesome Greek Food! 6/14/2006

Everything we have tried here is great. Love the Gyro's, especially the Fat Ones (double meat). Located in a OK neighborhood near Lackland AFB, the food more than makes up for that though. Pros: Gyros, Authenticity, Fries Cons: Neighborhood, Location more

OH MY 12/28/2005

Im 15 and don't have a job but when ever i had 15 bucks in my pocket i would pressure my friends in comming with me to mina & Dimi's. i would always order the lamb sluvokki platter and a plantaion mint hot tea, it's all in my budget. and their pita's are to die for, now i am moving to Florida and want to know about any more good resturants thanks Laleenah Pros: everything Cons: you have to leave more

Fun Place! 5/13/2005

I went to Mina & Dimi's on a date with my husband. The food at Mina & Dimi's is a little heavier than other Greek restaurants, but still very good. They have an awesome beer & wine selection, and the atmosphere is awesome. The night we went (on a Friday) they had a belly dancer that encouraged the kids to perform with her. It cost a little more than I expected though. almost $60 for two people. I will definately go back, maybe on one of their wine tasting nights. Call ahead for those, very limited seating available! Pros: atmosphere, beer/wine selection, parking Cons: crowded, dark more

Very Good Gyro! 10/22/2002

Went yesterday with a co-worker and we really enjoyed the food. The taste was excellent. It felt like an Air Force lounge. A lot of military guys appear to migrate from Lackland in the pursuit of something different to eat. The place is really a hole in the wall. The strip were they are located looks pretty run down. But do not let that stop you. Forget about Mapquest directions. It is located in the NW corner of Military Drive and Hwy 90. I learned the long way... Pros: Parking, Good Taste, Traditional Cons: Location, Cold Inside more
