We decided to get out of our regular area(Endicott,NY) and venture out to Elmira and explore some establishments in the area. Mimi's was our first stop and the best one of the day.A true old time ""working man's bar! It had everything you could want,a somewhat dark interior,a bunch of older gent's at the bar carrying on like you should be at a bar .Loud but not rowdy, enjoying each other's company. We were waited on quickly, got two mug's of Bud and paid $3.00.You gotta love that. Beer was cold and the best part was when you walked in,you weren't stared at as if you had a third eye in the forehead. The bartender was on the alert always checking to see if someone needed a refill, the customer's razzing each other and just having a great time. Now this is a great place. It doesn't have a lot of flash or gimmicks, just a great ""old time saloon atmosphere. This will be the one bar we stop at for sure when we are in town.
