Mimi's Cafe

Good: The iced tea was pretty good.. Bad: The service was terrible...asked for Baguette bread for my 86 year old mother, server said We can't do that. We only have full loaves. So I said, charge me for a full loaf please. We ordered a BLT, they had no tomatoes (we had just been at Trader Joe's 1/8th mile away and they had tomatoes?). I ordered a burger Med Rare, it came well done. After we ate they never asked if we wanted to go containers. I tracked down our stellar server and asked for a cup and lid and he said I will have one over there in a few. Improvements: cont'd...minutes. We left, I will never go back. Server can go get a job elsewhere because he was not into being a server. It was too loud, bad parking, and not friendly for handicapped or elderly. It's a long walk from parking and the restaurant entrance faces a mall driveway entrance with no ramp.. Other: I would give it negative 2 stars if I could.. more

If you have never eaten here, you are missing out! This restaurant has a huge selection of food. From steak to grilled cheese and everything in between. . They also give you a large amount of food, plenty to take home for the next day. They will even write the date on your to go box and where its from. The dinners are served with a bread basket that has wonderful hard rolls and great carrot bread in it. Their corn chowder is awesome! Mimi's Cafe is a nice restaurant to take the whole family too. The staff is great and the food is homemade and very delicious. The one thing I do not like about it is they are always very busy. I almost always have to wait when eating there. If you go one a weekend be especially prepared to wait a while. However it is always worth the wait. They have a wide variety of items to choose from on the menu and they are a kid friendly restaurant. more
