Brewers fans are ruder than Cubs vans 6/13/2011

I am a Cardinals fan, and I have been to games at Wrigley Field and Miller Park. Brewers fans are far and away ruder than Cubs fans to visiting fans. on top of that the ushers at Miller Park showed little or no interest in bringing the rude Brewer fan under control that was heckling my son who was wearing a Cardinals hat. Brewers fans are mostly unknowlegdable and mean more

First all-weather retractable roof stadium with all the lights, fireworks, huge concourses and parking galore 9/6/2007

I've been to all the ballparks with retractable roofs; I wouldn't wish to rate the others, although I've been to some, like SFO, Phoenix, Yankee Stadium, Fenway, Wrigley Field, etc.....Ugh, Wrigley is the worst, Fenway, second last. Who cares about nostalgia? I want a seat located where I can see the game.\r \r Miller Park is not just a game, it's a show and there are no bad seats.\r \r Also, I hear this guy (probably from the flatlands) who says the team is bad and they don't get enough fans. Has he been living under a rock? We're tie with you bubba and we are going to beat the Cubs and go on to win the World Series. This comedian guest on WGN says 'root, root, root for the Cubbies' and then adds that the Brewers are too young to win, 'they must average seventeen.' \r \r Then, Uecker keeps getting an invite back to Chicago to sing the 7th inning hymn and shouts 'root, root, root for the Brewers, you can root for the Cubs' - that takes guts and that's the kind of guts that makes an organization.\r \r As for small markets - there are no small markets in sports. If there were they would soon disappear. Green Bay is not a small market team even if the population is only 125,000. If they were small they would not draw sell-out crowds and they would re-locate. I don't think anyone can count on that ever happening.\r \r To conclude, I've lived in Chicago (ten years) and Milwaukee (35 years). There is plenty to do in Milwaukee for a weekend visit, prices are lower, it's a nicer looking city and much easier to get around. My son lives in Chicago and he only goes to games at Miller Park. He despises Wrigley Field and won't go into the White Sox neighborhood.\r \r GHM\r Oshkosh, WI\r \r \r \r \r Pros: Big concourses, beautiful natural turf, friendly service and lots of lights Cons: Cub players make a mess in the dugout more

not bad for having a roof 3/20/2007

I have been to about 8 or 9 games at miller park, so I feel i have a pretty good opinion on its quality, even though I am a Cubs fan. I have had seats all over inside this place, and unlike its Chicago neighbor, there are no sight obstructions as far as I could tell. Ticket prices are very affordable, and it suprisingly has a good atmosphere for a ""new age"" facility with a struggling ball team. The Brewers- Cubs rivalries are shaping into some very enjoyable games year by year. Im not too big on the ""Bernies dugout"" thing where he slides down after a home run has taken place, but I guess it gets the kids going. Overall, if youre looking for an enjoyable game, w/ comfortable seating, and an enthusiastic yet sparse fan base, I highly recommend the home of the Brew Crew. Pros: comfortable, clean, cheap Cons: could use- better atmosphere, better team more

Great food! Decent venue- pros and cons of dome. 3/20/2007

Food lovers cannot go wrong at Milwaukee's Miller Park. Great Brats, Hot Dogs and Italian Sausage. MLB's best nachos and they offer more beers than a corner tap! Come early and experience the pregame tailgate party. \r \r Sadly, this is all that I can say that is 1st rate about Miller Park.\r \r I have been making yearly trips with family and friends to Miller Park in April and early May only because the roof guarantees that spring rains and cold weather will not cancel a game or be bone chillin' cold. Even with the roof open, the high walls of the stadium do not allow for much natural light to enter the stadium and what does come in makes for distracting shadows across the playing field. The shadows and overall darkness make for a strange feeling while watching daytime games.\r \r Outside of the amenities, of the 17 MLB Ball Parks I have visited - both old and new, Miller Park rates as the worst place to actually watch a game. The food, tailgating, cheap parking and game guarantee do make it worth the two and a half hour trip. Pros: Food and extracurricular activities Cons: Dark and gloomy atmosphere more

Great for families, birthdays, dates.. everything 3/20/2007

Ever since I was little, my parents would take me to ths stadium. It's great for kids to get involved in the games and family time a big deal here. Also good for couples when they want an evening out. The seating is great anywhere and the food is amazing. A little pricy but the game is worth it. Even though the home team doesn't always win.. the time spent there never seems to get dull. They keep the fans involved with trivia's on the big screen and also with the music. Tailgaiting is always a must when going to Miller Park because the parking lot was pretty much built for it. Also, it's a tradition in my family to go their for my birthday. They put your name up on the big screen and make you feel like a true fan. Pros: Fan atmosphere, tailgating, food, employees are nice, no lines for bathrooms, good seats anywhere you sit Cons: home team doesn't always win, can be a little pricey more

Preferred County Stadium 3/20/2007

I'll only go to early season games (March-May). In the hot, humid Milwaukee summer the roof will most likely be closed if there is even a slight chance of rain on gameday. I'm hoping this was only due to the malfunctioning roof, but if it a general guideline they use....prepare to sweat!! With the roof and outfield panels closed on a humid 90 degree day the stadium is stuffier than all get out. Maybe I'm a baseball purist, but all baseball should be played outdoors. The only advantage I can see to having a dome is that people coming to the game from out of town don't have to worry about a rainout. Tailgating is a must if coming to Miller Park. Get to the stadium early, set up your grill, toss around a baseball, have a few beers (and a DD), turn on Uecker and listen to the game. Stadium gets a rating of 4, tailgating gets a 10!! Pros: Tailgating, no rainouts Cons: hot, uncomfortable more

Best Park in Baseball. NO CUBS FANS WELCOME 3/20/2007

Miller Park is by far the best stadium in baseball. The food is excellent. When the Brewers are winning the atmosphere can't be beat., especially opening day! The ONLY downfall to the stadium is the amount of Cubs fans that think they can come to our city and enjoy our stadium. cubs fans ruin Miller Park. Pros: Atmosphere, view of the field, beer Cons: CUBS FANS more

Now this is a ballpark 5/22/2006

The first time I went to Miller Park, I fell in love with it. I live in Chicago and am a Cubs fan (hard to type that with the way they have been playing lately) who has attended many games at Wrigley. Wrigley is great for the history, but ballpark accomodations are lacking. Miller park is clean, family friendly, has great views from anywhere, is easy to get around, has great food and drinks, no lines at bathrooms, cheap prices for parking . . . Go and visit. I skip Wrigley now and go to Miller to see my Cubs. Pros: Parking, Seating, Food more

Go Brewers at Miller Park 3/31/2005

Miller Park has everything that a city, its fans, and its team would want. Accomodation of weather conditions, excellent food and beverages, and, most importantly, the most entertaining surroundings one could ask for. I noted Coors Field was ranked #1. I don't know why because I've been there and, if there's inclement weather, no game. Miller Park, there's a game played. Pros: Accessible from Hwy, Excellent Food & Bev, Sausage Races Cons: Parking is Tough, Unruly Cub Fans more

Miller Park 5/19/2004

beware of the parking 7/18/2002

the park is lovely. a real fun time. great atmosphere. good food. although if you get caught in a long lime beware. but more importantly beware of the parking. remember exactly where you parked your car. there aren't many signs so figure out a good way to remember where you parked. we lost our car and got caught in a rain storm. we also, on two occasions sat and waited in our car for 45 minutes to get out of the parking lot. either leave a few innings early or plan on sitting in your car for a while. Pros: food, atmosphere Cons: parking! more
