The owner is rude and unethical. I contacted Miller Electric to install an new circuit breaker and outlet for a freezer in a newly purchased home. The electrician that did the work, did a good job with the installation. After he left, I noticed he left a tool behind and called his office so he could get it the next time he was in the neighborhood. That night, I noticed that our landscape lighting didn't come on. I checked the circuit breakers and everything seemed fine, so I figured the electrician must have accidentally disconnected a wire while installing the new circuit breaker. I was going to ask him to look at it when he came to get his forgotten tool. When he hadn't come in a month, I again called the office and told the receptionist what occurred. She asked if I wanted a service call set up. I said, ""No, because the lights worked before he came to install the breaker, so I think he did it. He can just look at it when he comes to get the tool. If he finds a different problem I will pay for it."" I told her not to make a special trip, but to just have him call when he's in the neighborhood and he can look at it then. They called several days later and gave me a time he would be there and I repeated, that this isn't a service call, but just pick up the tool and look at the lights. He showed up, I gave him his tool and after looking at the circuit breaker panel, he found a GFCI outlet in the garage, reset it and the lights now worked. I had no idea the outside lights were on this GFCI. I asked him if he could have tripped it when he installed the circuit breaker and he said possibly.\r
I got a bill a couple of weeks later and called their office. I explained to the receptionist that I hadn't asked for a service call and he just fixed what he had caused, so I shouldn't have to pay. She said I would have to talk to the owner and he would call me back when he was available. When he called, I explained the situation and he said, ""I never would have sent him all the way out there for a cheap tool, so you have to pay."" I said, I clearly told the receptionist, twice that I didn't want a service call, but just for the electrician to check the work he did when he came to pick up his tool. He asked, ""Does this mean you won't pay?"" to which I replied, ""I don't think I should have too."" He then said, ""You're a cheap f***ing son of a B****."" and hung up.\r
Three months later, I was contacted by a debt collection agency that said he turned the bill over to them without ever sending me another bill. I paid them the $85 dollars, but I want everyone else to know what kind of company they're dealing with. To be fair, the electrician, ""Red"" was very professional and did a good job.\r
